Im not a farmer and im only half way through episode 4, but most if not all struggles seems pretty much selfmade. And as a farmer, do you really struggle with were to spend money next, without wory about profits or were the money comes from because you have more of it than you can count? Todd Hoffmann needed 2-3 seasons befor he became boring or even annoying. Jeremy is already boring in episode 4, he has a fix idea, throws money at it and then asks his manager about it, who says between the lines "You effing idiot." and that repeats every episode.
@ronnieso

@@wolf310ii Yes, most of his struggles are self made. I think he is from the city and city people think everything is easy to do. There are a reason why farmers may not do certain things. Almost all farmers I know aren't rich, it's a business, a way to make money for living. Jeremy had money before he started his farm.

I’m not a farmer; I was a farm hand for three and a half years before the farm unfortunately went under, largely due to some of the issues presented in the show like Tuberculosis, planning, grants etc. But also due to some issues that aren’t covered like degrading soil, frost, snow, flooding, security and later debts that just piled up over time. This show hits pretty hard in places and I’m happy that it shows some of what farmers go through to provide for a country.

Clarkson got me into farming. I saw the first season and thought "how hard can it be?" NEVER say that. I grew lettuce and broccoli last year, then that 38C heatwave hit and turned 90% my crops to ash. This year, i've got lettuce, broccoli, pumpkins, raspberry, strawberry, tomato and a chili plant growing. I also have onions that i just sowed indoors.

He said himself he was initially going to make the show fun and very Top Gear/Grand Tour shenanigans. But then wanted to make it more serious. But he’s very talented in finding that fine line of being entertaining and serious what it comes to farming and he can keep the audience drawn in. Adding to that, he’s a very good story teller from his past Documentaries.

Im glad an advertisement started before this video and that's the first and only time I appreciate an advertisement of shampoo. Based on the comments, this video = shite. If you actually watch Clarkson's Farm, you'll know he doesn't make fun of farmers. He does the opposite. He teached me more about farming than anything else. Bringing awareness to the struggle farmers go through in England, a first world country. It puts things into perspective. If English farmers have it that hard, what sort of hell does farmers in less fortunate places around the world faces.

@Oren Evans The point is not the brand of the tracktor, the point is the size of the tracktor, that it doesnt fits the size of the farm and the equipment he buys for it. This 64 year old Aussie farmer suggests that this is the point he is making. In one episode he calculates his yearly profit as a couple of hundred pounds and wonders how farmers can survive while acknowledging that no other farmer has an Amazon film crew to underwrite them. He is showing that farming is not a highly profitable enterprise and that in many cases it has to be subsidised by off farm activities. In his case Amazon but for many Aussie farmers it is by off farm work, often by a non farming spouse. And he showing how farmers are being actively undermined by the irresponsible morons in local government who are doing everything possible to prevent him and his fellow farmers from selling their produce and earning a living.

What I find stupid is the people who think this is actually what farmers go through and take it as gospel. Its a SHOW. Creating drama for its entertainment value. Some of it is absoluty cringeworthy. Farming is not entertaining though. Its hard graft. Lot harder than what Jermey has to go through. Which this show fails to encompass. He has tried to glamourize it with the way the show is run. I watched the 1st season and haven't watched since as he was always a little unhinged. But he has went full bown lunatic nowadays. Also death threats from his obsessed fans to a local councillor who was only doing a job is madness. That could backfire in a hewrtbeat. No matter how bad you are at your job. That doesn't merit any kind of death threats by salty obsessed fans. Also, Jeremy doesn't NEED a farm for his living. He has a fail safe of millions in this bank. Which everyday farmers don't have. So, how exactly does Jeremy promote anything for those farmers who don't have the luxury of just throwing in the towel she the shit goes down? They can't just go back to the grand tour or who wants to be a millionaire? Can anyone answer that question on a specific basis?.... without the usual name calling and insults. Thank you! TL, Dr: The show is as scripted as WWE. Clearly whoever thinks this is good has never actually been watching KZbin farmers who actually don't have Clarksons fail safes. Anyway. Fallout is hands down better than Clarksons Farm. Clarksons Farm has the dramatic effects added when it wants needed. Vaults, Ghoul, Knight Titus, Lucy...... But the Ghoul! Fuck me, he is badass. Only fools rush forward. Which is what Clarksons obsessed fans do all the time with the usual death threats. Fallout is actually dyno to be fair. Clarksons Farm is mediocre as it is scripted when it suppoaedly is to show the struggles of everyday farmers in Britain. It would work if it was a normal farmer. Clarkson is a celebrity farmer. Nothing normal about that and cannot be compared to the harsh reality that farming brings for those who are just ordinary farmers who do extraordinary things for our food. I like farmers. But Clarkson is not a run of the mill farmer. He is a celeb first and foremost and the show is all for entertainment purposes. Farming is extremely hard work. Nothing evem renotely entertraining about it. I can't belief some actual farmers take this show as though it is literal gospel. Hopefully they are not the same obsessed fans sending death threats to councillors when they don't get they're way. 🙄🙄
