Spot on for the most part. If you could understand some Tagalog , your eyes would really be open . So many foreigners have no clue about the culture and how they perceive us .

Filipino 🇵🇭 people don’t take criticism too good 🫣 I try to express my issues at times and it doesn’t get accepted coming from a foreigner > even if the problem effects me in a negative way 😲

You were talking about how some of us from the west who have a lot of money are still struggling can’t make ends meet. I’m just reminded me I’m friend of mine. He owns five Dairy Queen’s used car lot two of them and an apartment building complex. He makes more money than I’ve ever made in my whole life And he’s always broke because he’s always gotta have the best of this the newest that whatever it may be and to me it’s entirely all self-inflicted whereas I am going to be retiring this year with $200,000 saved for retirement and he thinks I’m totally nuts that it can’t be done And I’m just moving to the Philippines

I agree 100%…Directness in PI may be more of a vice, then a virtue as it is in the West… that may be a bridge too far to cross for some folks looking for a LTR…ashame.

Nice talk guys. Handled with care and wisdom. NGL That young gal who had already traveled the world with a wealthy user would turn me off 99% I would have to go very slow to not see her as forever spoiled and frankly run through by this dude. She’ll be like a western promiscuous gal who won’t be able to pair bond. Pea did an insightful video on the so called Sigma male being the ideal type to adapt there. That would be my daily meditation if I do gather the courage to go in 2025.

I do not understand this line of thought. A 20 year old woman is 'strong and independent'. She is smart and capable. Can do anything. Until an older guy shows up. Then suddenly she is easy to manipulate, unable to think for herself, being preyed upon. Why this Western double standard? I have dated young and older (than me at the time) women. I have found no difference in their mental maturity, or their ability to think differently. Women mature earlier than men. So, if anything, a 20 year old gal is able to take advantage of a 20 yr old guy much easier. IF a younger gal wants to be with an older guy, why is it anyone else's concern? If they are both over the age of consent, none of my business. Mine (and your) opinion should be kept to ourselves. I have a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Always have. And I can often come across too bluntly. So I try to preface when talking to someone new that if they think I said something rude, please let me know. I will never deliberately offend a person. So, assume It was just a bad attempt at humor, let me know, let me explain what I was trying to say. Growing up in rural farm country, we all had that same type of humor. I always try to not be funny when first meeting someone. Once they get to know me a bit, then they normally get my humor. If not, we don't have to hang out together. I find that if you can't laugh at yourself, you probably aren't my cup of tea either. And I just can't take being around stupid people. There is a big difference between stupid and ignorant. Hope this long rambling comment makes sense to someone.

The Philippine age of consent is 16. Why would relations with a 16 year old be illegal ?

Cuz it's 18 in USA and that is the law that applies to us in PH as well...

I've visited the Philippines three times, considering living there, but as a very dark-skinned Black man, I was treated differently than those with lighter skin tones. I spent 20 years in the US military and 14 years working for the Department of the Army, I've lived in Germany, Poland, South Korea, Bulgaria and had temporary assignments in a host of other different counties. Please believe me when I tell you that I have never faced such blatant racism in my entire life than what I experienced in Cebu Philippines. Children near my condo would repeatedly yell the "N" word at me, and employees at the Gaisano Grand Plaza in Mactan pointed and made offensive gestures while others stood by silently. It appeared to be a total lack of supervision for these young employees. Despite probably contributing more to the local economy in four months than they likely did in a year, they still thought they were superior because of my skin color.
@gemmaleandado2 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. I know that everyone deserves respect and is not treated differently.
@joshuarizalforeman8162 ай бұрын
That is bad, Man, wholly inexcusable. Maybe it was simply Cebu. I live in the sticks, in Rizal Province. A black friend of mine from London visited us and he had a great time. All he said was that quite often he'd get the 'double take', i.e. not many coloured folks around here (in fact, not many of us whiteys either) and because we had the same accent we were considered the same. Please don't take that experience as a negative.
@JoeyZee-vs4kr2 ай бұрын
It's "normal" in some places in the Philippines to be cruel of skin colour. Even dark skinned Filipinos are called N by their playmates. But normally it's just for fun and there's no hatred in it. If you befriend those who call you N, you'll be surprised that they will welcome you as one of them and treat you very well. That's a fact. 😊
@epi_diet0232 ай бұрын
I did experienced it during the time when I was a young child. My own cousin told me that I am "N" and ugly. We lived close to the sea and it was a part of my daily life to spent my childhood swimming and building sand castles so that's why I get darkened. Nowadays, I just smile looking back to those ugly memories 😊.

Hi, very interesting vidéo. Thanks. While I appreciate the care about the overall quality of the video, I just wanted you to know that the equalisation of the voice is a bit heavy, especially in low frequencies. Regards.
@markfarrell26712 ай бұрын
🤔🙄
@axelSixtySix2 ай бұрын
Please understand that you might not have an audio system capable of highlighting these frequencies. The producer of the video has significantly boosted the low frequencies in their voice, leading to some unnatural effects in certain intonations. If you are listening on a laptop with small speakers, they may not reproduce these bass frequencies well, so you might not hear the same effects I noticed. Additionally, apart from the limitations of technology, human beings vary in their auditory perception, and I am no exception. However, I have verified my observations using a spectrometer, which confirms what I heard. My intention is to provide helpful advice to assist our host in achieving the best quality possible, as I have noticed that he puts significant care into his production.

If a young underage Filipina comes on to a foreigner as if she is not underage, simply because she knows he is going to be better off than most Filipino men, and she plans to take advantage of that, then exactly who is exploiting who?
