Todays music ( or those pretending to sing or play instruments ) SUCKS compared to the 70s/80s/ and 90s. RAP is not even music or song. Very few rappers sing or play instruments so my question is why are they allowed to compete at the Grammys ? Todays Grammys are nothing but a show of nudity, vulgarity, outlandish clown costumes, negative attacks against America, sick perverted political statements, or support for perverted ideologies/cults.

A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Robin (on our left) and Maurice (on our right) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) survived by wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) survived by wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry. I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5DMq6l3l814rrssi=7p2Pbvfime9eHGc-&t=1 How Deep Is Your Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqHUop2LbNpoj8Usi=TJzrh9ns2v1rUvnH Spirits Having Flown kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYild6Oletd3ea8si=3mpRsV0a-kfCMDWX Shadow Dancing (Andy Gibb) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZvCqnqPisSdi7csi=fgwTh0Si29Axvb7S Bodyguard kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmYiap_gKimadEsi=ZR3i-vkS0bTbUsMd You Should Be Dancing (Andy is with them in this video: from the movie Saturday Night Fever) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6bSY2x6hcuNaKcsi=XevU5_t8wV8gQCBS&t=1

None of them were professionally trained, music-wise, so none could read or write music in the true way as purists would say - but yet could still play various instruments . . . and yet they really knew how to write songs via their wording alone even without that . . . This song it has been said was written in about 3 minutes by Barry & Robin, from my memory, and another was also written on the same day, too . . . They mainly wanted to be songwriters and not actual singing stars - but after singing so long together from young boys, their harmonies just intertwined easily and they ended up as singer songwriters . . . They also wrote songs for other artists who they thought would suit them best . . . Barbra Streisand, Frankie Valli, Diana Ross, Dolly & Kenny, and many others . . . over 1000 songs written by them and Barry (The oldest and middle one), and the last surviving brother is still going . . ..

Love your Bee Gee reactions I’m not sure if you’ve reacted to any of these, but here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) (you just did this one) How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard) (you did this one) Staying Alive (disco) (you did this one) Night Fever (disco) You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco) Fanny be tender with my love (R&B) Jive Talking (R&B) Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk) Tragedy (Techno? Pop) More than a woman (Disco/R&B) Love you inside out (Funk/pop) To love somebody (R&B) Massachusetts (pop/country) Alone (pop) Love So Right (R&B) Lonely Days (pop) You Win Again (pop) Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B) Kiss of Life (rock) Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country) Bodyguard (R&B) The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor) Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to: My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard) Letting Go (pop ballard) Subway (R&B) You Stepped Into My life (Funk/r&b) Children of the World (pop) Search, Find (pop or R&B) Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung), alone or with his brothers (Robin & Maurice Gibb): If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, Gibb wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, Barry wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, Barry wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, Barry wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals. Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. More Than a Woman (Tavares) Love Me (Yvonne Elliman) Come on Over (Olivia Newton John) Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it. Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli) Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer) Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;)
