Because I was dying ,I was confirmed and baptised together on my second day of life. I was always very aware of God and what sin was, and wanted to receive the Blessed Sacreament by the tine I was 6, but the parish priest said I was too young. I have always believed my intense understanding at such a young age was because of my confirmation. Also at 15, when my peers were confirmed, my mother spoke to the nuns and bishop and I wasn't confirmed again. At the time I felt left out but understood why. Praise be God.

We thank the most blessed St Padre Pio along with all of the heavenly congregation as they continue to intercede and pray for us from their heavenly home. I continue to ask you my dear friends to please remember our blessed lady each day for a few moments and pray to her meditating on the seven sorrows that pierced her most pure heart during her life on earth, this prayer is most powerful and brings great comfort to both our white lady of peace and also her blessed son Jesus and many graces are obtained from this powerful prayer. I also ask you my dear friends to please remember our blessed saviour Jesus for a few moments and pray to him remembering his agonising on the Mount of olives where he shed tears for us, sweat blood and where his prayer flowed in trembling agony from his heart so pure and divine. I pray today that the blessings of the almighty and eternal Father will be with you all now and always and that the most blessed holy spirit will continue to guide you all in the love and peace of the most blessed holy family amen.

Yes, I remember my first communion. I was 12 years old. ( I also remember the preparation and process for my confirmation. ) My mother bought me a new white dress and shoes. We had all my family and extended family members, my God parents, and a few family friends. Then, we all went home, and we had a wonderful feast with some of my favorite foods. I received a beautiful prayer book with my name monogramed on it and a rosary. We had to travel to a nearby cathedral where the bishop was because there were other children from different churches who were also receiving their first communion. That was such a long time ago. I am surprised I still remember it so well. Thank you for this story.

I converted when I was 30. Which will be 25 years ago this Easter. I got the trifecta. Baptism, confirmed, and first holy communion. What I remember the most was being baptized. I had longed to be baptized at other places and it never happened. I now know God wanted me in the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Thanks be to God. JMJ 🙏

I was confirmed in the N. O. It was not as it should have been. And you recieved gifts that day. Not me, no physical gifts recieved. I was happy to have my parents take their pic with me. I sure wish I had been brought up in the Traditional Catholic church. No heresies, no comoromises. No scandals. Just truly Catholic. Ahhhh. ❤🌹

When I received my First Communion my father was rushing about with a camera to take my picture. Later I told him if he could take a picture on the inside, then that would have been the more notable and memorable occasion.

Don't remember much, (was 8yrs) except for the excitement of a big priest coming, wearing white laced communion dress, very happy with the dress and for the holiday... and the party... never knew the meaning of the Holy Spirit...saw some dove picture..... everything was abstract......

My first Holy Communion was wearing a pretty lace dress, beauuutiful tiara, wore everything in white, sitting on small chair, having breakfast, in the church compound, visiting neighbors, relatives and near dear ones, recieving gifts and blessings, clicking photographs in church and studios... but nothing at all about Jesus, recieving the Holy Communion and Jesus coming to our hearts was a theory, no depths... but God in His mercy changed everything as I grew, thanks to my parents, the priests who showed us movies and teachers, who instilled in me about Jesus........

I had absolutely no clue what was happening for First Holy Communion or Confirmation. First Holy Communion second grade. Confirmation fifth grade. Didn't even know Jesus was in the Blessed Sacrament until I was 36 years old. That's how bad the teaching was right after Vatican 2. At CCD class when I was young, one of the teachers taught us that there was no such things as the miracles in the Bible. Only through the grace of God do I know my faith

I remember my first communion and confirmation. In the U.S. first communion is 2nd grade so age 7, and 4th grade confirmation. I think they moved confirmation to age 13 now. Nonetheless, my first communion was beyond description and I saved my one photo, Rosary, prayer book and gift card to this day, I’m 71. Fr. Joseph McFarland instructed us and minced no words and did not baby talk to us. I vividly remember sitting in the first pew of Holy Angels Catholic Church when he told us about mortal sin. He lived to nearly 100 yrs of age and I have visited his grave when I visit my hometown. The Bishop who confirmed me nearly knocked me down when they give you that little slap on the cheek. I laughed about it. I can only describe joy!

My First Communication was earlier than my class. It happened at Midnight Mass. When Fr. Kirby sought to give me the Host, i didn't know to decline. Perhaps our dear Savior wished this. It might of not hurt as i was an angel w/wings❤

I am sorry to say that I do not remember my 1st communion, and the only reason I remember anything about my Confirmation is because of the professional pictures my parents had taken. I wish I could do them again- I was a kid ( of course), and life wasn't easy with my health and environmentally, in the neighborhood I was raised. Thank God I had the amount of love and respect for God that I did have! 🙏 Holy Family and all the saints, pray for us, amen.

I very clearly remember when I was about 13 years old and was in Church to receive the sacrament of Confirmation, the moment the Bishop made the sign of the cross on my forehead with the chrism , I experienced a burning sensation within my heart which did not cause any pain , for a few seconds . I will never forget this experience which has remained etched in my mind, needless to say , I was quite suprised by this and I wonder how many others have had this experience during Confirmation.

On the day of my First Holy Communion, at 5 years old, all the boys in our class , and the girls in theirs, were brought to the convent for a special breakfast served by the nuns. It was an immense occasion in my life. Then our family visited my uncle, a parish priest, who took us all in a row-boat, my first time in one, on the Shannon. The photos show me.....nervous ! 😊
