Note about the second Foxy outside the house that I'm sure will get repeated over and over. That Foxy is there as an easter egg that is also visible by that window you walked up to while referring to him. What happens is you walk up to the window, and Foxy dashes past, probably intended to give the player a slight jumpscare of sorts.

If I remember correctly, bonnie is actually moderately faster than freddy. If you run in a straight line, bonnie will be able to catch up to you, whereas you can easily outrun freddy. That's why the basement has a decent amount of straight paths

In the main games, yes. The only time he moves fast in this game is when he's about to try to kill you. Other than that, he's pretty slow in this game

The alpha version of Freddy had some crack speed footsteps when chasing you, only problem is nikson never fixed his A.I problems from the alpha that carried over to the free roam beta

I think the reason you can't walk up the hills is because the player has extreme gravity applied so that even if you could jump, the player can't abuse it to avoid Freddy.

It seems something of the sort - the player has no ability to climb slopes, and as such you cannot force your way up them whatsoever. This way you can't get atop things and avoid the animatronics being able to reach you, which is an issue other games, such as Security Breach, tend to have. It's simply easier to make pathfinding like that, seemingly, but it has its flaws.

@@ultmateragnarok8376 I noticed some of the boxes of items like desks, cabinets, etc, have been modified in SB so it basically makes it near impossible to get on top of them and cheese the game, but not all of them. There's still ways, but some times I like the cheese.

4:00 I can easily guess why that wooden flooring extends out. It’s most likely because the creator made the wooden flooring first and put that in a large area then they built the house/maze, and then finally put the Foresteria on the outside and only did it in the spots where the windows would easily see it. As a way of sort of cutting on development Time. Why put grass in an area that no one will ever possibly see.

I think you didn't mention the Chica Jumpscare in the house! If you pass a specific window, Chica will jump up and shout - and I think that Foxy runs past that window where you saw him. I suppose since you were doing out of bounds shenanigans the game never activated those two scares.

as an Unreal Engine guy i have to say something about the physics what nickson used to make the player controller is a "Character" which can be controlled by a player controller (if it is in chosen as a default pawn class in a gamemode that is attached to the level) has its own physics and has a movement component which includes the angle of the slopes it can climb/the max speed/acceleration/and if it can or can't fall down edges etc... a character is what is primarly used in Unreal games since a character has its own physics and doesn't have physics that a normal physical object would have it doesn't flip or things like that so its the best choice for a player controller i ran some tests in Unreal and from what i can gather it looks like nickson made the player's model a tiny bit forward relative to the character's center instead of exactly at the center of th character so that's why you get some of that jittery stuff when walking on the edges, and i think he also made it so that the player won't be able to climb slopes and he made the "walkable floor angle" veryyyyyyyy low so yeah you get it

4:15 I'm quite sure it's due to the game's assets when they place stuff around that you see the floor there. If you watch some speed level design videos, you will see they have a pre-made floor tile and some walls, etc... And the dev will then place them around to form a map, thus sometimes a floor tile is extended outside the wall cause the space it needs to cover is smaller than itself, and the walls will normally block you from seeing the rest anyway.

It's possible they used some form of procedural generation just to make the terrain and smoothed out what they used for the map And the weird out of bounds hills are basically left overs
