I guess lots of people can relate to this feeling. But don't give up. Every language learner meets this frustration in the beginning, but then at some point, when you don't expect it to happen, you will be able to speak and the frustrating times will be gone and forgotten.😃 ❤️

I loved this video so much and I think I really needed to see this so I’m quite thankful to you for doing it. I’ve been in Germany for a year. When I first arrived I thought that people seemed more considerate than they are in the US but lately I’ve felt that may not always be the case. One person you interviewed mentioned being in queue and having someone jump in front of you. This happened to me when I first arrived and even recently (an American even did it to me the other day when a new line opened up; all of the people in my line moved and he got in line in front of me 😂). Anyway, I thought Germans did it to me because I’m American and they felt they could get away with it. What a relief to know it’s not personal. And yes, Janusz mentioned when a new line is opened and people rush to it. I feel there is an unwritten but very logical rule that the person who was next should be able to move easily to the newly opened line without having to fear they will drop their eggs or have a cart battle on the way there. 😂 It just seems like common sense. I’m very happy with my progression in learning German. I plan to stick with it even after I leave because I’ve put so much effort into it and it’s a lovely and complex language. And perhaps one day in the states I can help a German translate since I know how it feels to be here and to not be fluent and struggle sometimes during conversations, like the other day when I went to a home improvement store to look for some wood for a woodworking project. It is an incredibly humbling experience. This video was a welcomed and helpful insight into the minds of the people I’m living amongst right now. You can feel very much on the outside of things living in another country. I’m always curious about what Germans think and feel since they do not seem to express these things very outwardly and certainly not to an American. But I have several German acquaintances and try to gain understanding about these things from them. This was a truly wonderful and appreciated video!!! Thank you!

Interestingly, lots of the interviewees picked social matters such as social behaviour, indifference against each other as the things that make them frustrated. Now I live in Australia, and if the interview was done here, then you might have had responses which are quite personal such as jobs, rents or boyfriends and girlfriends.
