What Game Modes Could Be Added? - The Finals

Since my last video I had been thinking up some game modes that could work in The Finals. I figured why not throw my hat into the ring as I do think some of these would be bangers. But do let me know what you guys think below.

Also I think this game is in dire need of a solo game mode. I think gun game would be so cool, where you go through heavy then medium and finally light loadouts with dagger being the last weapon!

@@marquintabell5307 solo bank it was just not a good game mode tho. Bank it overall just isn’t fun. Gun game in the finals would be so different than any other game simply because it would be switching not just your gun but your character and loadouts.

There is one gamemode that is super fun and competetive. And it really goes well whit The Finals theme. I have already played that mode before, some people dont like it because they say its less skill expressive and more luck but i enjoy it and i know a lot of people also do enjoy. The gamemode is called Ranked Tournament Cashout. They should add that one next season!

I think king of the hill could be a very fun casual game mode. A very similar idea to power shift but with several teams and the point moves a few times per game.

What about Cash Grab / Coin Toss: in the practice arena is that wall where you can try throwing the cube through different holes. That got me thinking how fun it would be to have a football style game mode. • Two teams battling over one cube, trying to snag it and throw it into one of the holes on the other team's wall to score points. • I'm thinking 6v6: GK Heavy, Two Medium midfielders, 3 light attackers. • Squad wipe would be a guaranteed goal though. So, maybe no respawn timer so the focus is always on out playing the other team and not just going for squad wipes. • It could be done by using smaller sections of the maps that exist.

The Chad user generated content vs the beta dev creations In all seriousness I love the game modes that Embark has available (Cash Out, Quick Cash, Bank It, Power Shift, and yes even Terminal Attack!) I do believe that Embark, with a few more seasons (potentially by S5) will have everything worked out. Since this is a live service game, I feel like people need to allow the game to be strange and dynamic until it truly finds its groove. For a game that’s been out for less than a year, it’s already shaken up the FPS genre. I can’t help but feel like more and more people are getting interested in this game and tired of conventional arcade shooters like COD and Siege.

I'd like an oddball similar to Halo, 1 player has to hold the ball and the longer you hold it the more points you score. You cannot use your weapons and abilities while holding it and your 2 teamates have to defend you

The tournament mode should be multiple game modes where we compete for points no knock out rounds we go from cash out to to bank it to a third new game mode same with 5v5 modes

I think that in order for the developers to fix Ranked, they need to bring back the ranked tournament, and make your rank directly dependent on the money you earned in the tournament, for example, to get a diamond, you need to earn more than 1 million for the season. Thus, everyone will have to fight for every cashout, and even if you didn't qualify, but you have a lot of money, it will affect your rank. It would be logical to make more money in the second round than in the first round (to make it worthwhile to qualify), and in the final round to make not 20k money, but x2 money already received. But I don't know how to lower the rank in this case.

Ya know, it might sound crazy but with some light tweaks it could be possible to actually make a game mode VERY similar to Left 4 Dead in The Finals. Would make one hell of a Halloween LTM. A team of 3 vs vs 12. The zombie team could only get access to melee weapons but also self defib on death after a few seconds. The survivor team only get one life an gadgets get 2 charges. Ammo is limited but can be refilled by bringing a vault to a cashout station. The evac that comes to save the survivor team an wins them the game only gets summoned if they can complete like maybe 3 cashouts. Obviously numbers would need to be tweaked, but it could be fun like I said for Halloween. As for your idea on the VIP mode, they should call it Continental Clash, a nod to the hotel in John Wick, because the mode would essentially be like having a bunch of hired assassins trying to take out a target like in Wick. I think a great map variable that could get activated would be something that makes players totems leave behind landmines or explode upon death. Or maybe upon death they drop clouds of toxic gas or something. Another LTM I was thinking about could be something like "Lights Day Out" a play on the movie title babys day out. Have scotty an june go off about how the Heavy and medium division contestants are off enjoying a all expensive paid vacation from the sponsors for their recent wins in the arena but everyone's favorite roofstop ninja scamps had to be left behind due to some unfortunate hight restrictions on the flight and while being unsupervised it looks like they've broken into the weapon vaults. Premise is 3 teams of 4 lights fight over a power shift platform that starts on one end an moves to the other even without people on it. Kills while on or against people on the platform generates money as well as passively when uncontested. You can choose your specialization an gadget loadout but start with dagger as a weapon. Everytime you do land a kill it swaps to another random weapon from any class. Barrels an canisters in the area function differently an instead give you other classes specializations for a short period. So you could grad a small fire canister that gives you 1 use of charge n slam etc. Teams all start on the same end of the map 20-ish meters apart and have to choose between either making a mad dash to the platform, picking off the slow runners to be the first to get a weapon etc. Team with the most cash by the time the platform hits the other end wins.

I hope they add a mode like oddball from Halo too. One vault that all the teams have to fight over. Cash accumulates every second your team controls the cash box up to a capped amount that makes your team the rounds winner. I agree the person carrying the cash box needs to have a way to melee attack too so maybe they change the object you would carry in this type of mode. Either way it would be a really fun mode with the way movement works.

midround event like thunderstorm would be cool i think. it starts raining and the lightning strikes high places and materials made of metal, but the thunder can be blocked by shields so that its not impossible to steal the cashout if it is lying on an open area. erathquake is a good idea but it would probably be a bit macabre if they had added that with the season that gives us japan :(

Steal the Spotlight was so fun . The restrictive game mode style feels simple & satisying. The featured rotation fit well into the game. Was hoping they would have that for WT. I think a cool event would a rain of random canisters from the sky "cloudy with a chance of gooballs". Random canisters of one type dropping all over the map like from the current pinatas.

I'd love an adaption of rob the nest, where, three teams are an equal distance apart, with three cashboxes in their "nest" across the time of the match, new cashbox vaults spawn, and you can take it back to your nest/base. You can also, steal cashboxes from other teams, meaning that you have to find a balance between defending your area, scouting the middle of the map, and attacking enemy teams. Team sizes can be increased and changed around as needed. Heavies, Mediums, and lights would fit well into the core game, with heavies being strong defenders, or explosive attackers Mediums being fantastic support, and lights being quick thieves. Would be great for an LTM, a permanant mode, or a custom game mode. Really hope the developers are open to including new, unique game-modes into the finals, as it's a fantastic base that a lot of great modes could be built atop.

The gateway goals idea is awesome. Perhaps as each new set of balls/vaults appears, there's also 1 radar pulse across the map like the old recent senses, to ensure better Macro decision making and less RNG

Midgame events are one thing I would really love to see more variety of Just some random spitball ideas I’ve had: Low grav rework: multiple small areas around the map (or maybe on objectives) will become low grav zones, making them more of an obstacle to play around rather than just completely shifting the way the whole arena functions Arena maintenance or Rewind event: SOME broken structures around the map will slowly rebuild (probably make it happen only to buildings players aren’t immediately near to avoid interruptive scenarios) Potentially having mid game events be thematically sponsored ie: “Ospuze rush time event” all players have increased movement speed for a short duration or maybe drink cans appear that can be picked up to give a temporary speed boost Gravity malfunction: any object or piece of rubble that isn’t bolted down (excluding objectives) will have their direction of gravity changed, all objects will “fall” sideways Or Slightly similar to the last one Black hole/magnetic field: black holes appear around the map and pulls all loose objects towards itself then at some point throws them in all directions (after writing this it is fairly similar to the UFO event I realize) Technical difficulties (only some maps): intractable elevators, walls, bridges and cranes will malfunction while players are near, imagine an elevator shooting up and down extremely quickly becoming a crushing hazard or going up and flinging players into the air Walls would open and close on their own, cranes might start spinning randomly. Maybe have any affected interactables become highlighted with an error message to indicate they are affected Wheel of fortune: a little hud icon appears of a wheel with all barrel types on it, it will spin a couple times throughout its duration, whatever it lands on all barrels will change to that type for the duration

i wish this game was more casual friendly. this game is made for being strategic and smart but some people don’t have the brains to do that. i’ve tried getting a few friends to play this game but they all hate it after playing a few matches because they keep getting destroyed by the strategic and experienced players. please make better causal game modes embark. TA is the right direction for casual players but it doesn’t fit in a game like the finals

I like the improved cashout but how about new items/events that deal with the sponsor of the week, like maybe OSPUZE Cans that can be drunk for speed boosts or OSPUZE event where everyone gets a speed boost for a while etc.

PVE mode idea "Broadcast Defenders" : CNS Are desperate to invade the show. CNS is sending null bodies (aka zombies) And team of 5 players should defend broadcast stations that will be placed around the map each 2 minutes, for each defeated wave of Null bodies team gets money, and can buy things to help against next attacks. Or they could call a squad of Vaiiya soldiers that will help players for a while. Team wins if they could defeat all the waves as match ends. Team losses if all of the members dies, or team failed to defend 3 stations. (If someone dies during wave, they will revive in next one, during preparation time. I agree with you on the event idea (except that I love low gravity) but I think that the devs are trying to make the game unique, therefore making unique gamemodes. I think that there should be a 5v5 team deathmatch where the objective is either to get 40 kills (as in the $40,000 needed to win in bank it) or to get a team wipe or two. I also think that power shift is just single zone control with a twist and that terminal attack is just R6 with a twist. Two other gamemodes that I think should be added are capture the flag with sponsors as flags (as you mentioned) or a control or ground war type gamemode.

the vip mode gave me an idea, teams vip has to complete an objective, something like mixing in bank it, maybe cashing in enemy trophies, vip is a medium with heal beam and defib and only vip can cash in trophies, death if a vip is a wipe and loss of some cash like in cashout.

so vip has to carry an enemies trophy around with him to the cashout location, theres many ways to balance this, should non vip teamates be able to caryy enemy trophies also? should vip death result in a team wipe or should teamate be able to revive vip? this could be a really fun mode

I'm a mega fan of gamemodes involving respawning with TWO teams. I hate third partying, I don't play a single battle royale because of this. I play power shift in this game, and love it. It may not be the very most competitive, but I'm so down to shoot bad guys and not get shot in the back on a regular basis.

I feel for multiple reasons 2 team modes are better for casual but I can understand the reasoning for why a multi team mode would seem "more" casual as well. I think another “Big Team” mode would slot nicely into the game's current roster of modes.

Lol it doesn’t need more modes, it needs more guns and maps, why do you guys keep wanting modes rather than guns in a game that releases 3 weapons every season… in a fps… I mean some sort of capture the flag with cash would be cool but I don’t care, I like cashout, I want more to do in cashout, like new guns, different areas where cash out stations arrive, the problem is you people and KZbin content creators are making this game way to casual when it’s supposed to be competitive, it’s so sad how the player base dropped because the community likes to copy other games and water down the finals
