I remember one time seeing an Xmen cabinet going with all six players playing and it felt like something had been achieved in the universe. It was incredibly rare to find a 6 man cabinet and even more rare to see them all being played at once. It was like getting to see the x-men universe come alive in a way that still rarely happens.

Time Crisis, Off Road (standup cab w/ the wheel that was in every pizza place from everyone's childhood), Hydro thunder sit-in cab, Funhouse pinball, Simpsons 4 player cab, Addams family pinball, and a good ol' Neo-Geo 6-pack. Maybe even a cosmo gang electromech.

As Pat had mentioned Jersey in this video, I used to sneak into Middlesex County College in central Jersey (for anyone that's from jersey might know) and they had a foozeball table and a Dragons Lair cab and I remember it being $1.00 to play plus you had to be 18 to get into the lounge or be with someone that was currently a student there. Fortunately my neighbor would let me tag along as they went there. A weeks worth of allowance money GONE in a matter of a half hour! What great times.

I miss my Xybots. Such a cool scheme turning the stick to turn your character. I'm right there with Ian. With both the pins and the arcades. I'd add black Knight 2000 to the list. I love the Bally widebody machines. But yeah, right there with Ian. A vertical jamma, a horizontal jamma, arkanoid, etc.
@zackschilling43765 жыл бұрын
DUDE! I love Xybots. What a great looking cab too. Its definitely a game that doesnt get the love it deserves. The Lynx has a great version, by far the best home port.

I really miss my cabinet. The twisting of the joystick to be able to rotate the character was unique, and it worked really well.

I think my dream arcade would have to include some console kiosks. I have a thing for the old Super Nintendo, Genesis, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast and Xbox kiosks. I realize they arent arcade cabinets, per say....but they'd be perfect for an arcade room in my opinion! Additionally, I'm with Pat on the early Nintendo cabinets...I'd definitely love to have those!

The rolling thunder cabinet is HEAVY. Most of the 80s atari cabs are made out of this thick mdf. I had a millipede cabinet that was deadly to move around. My favorite game was the big Virtual-on 2 player cab. I had to break it down into pieces just to move it around the house!

My dream arcade exists. It's a Launchbox set up with 3500 games and a custom skinned Xarcade tankstick. Second screen for the custom marquee that changes when you choose a game. No lag with RetroArch runahead.. In 2019 there's really no need for a bunch of giant old boxes that constantly break.

Mine would be full of Sega Dreamcast era stuff. And some older forgotten gems like Outrunners and Scud Race. This is a question that isn’t hard to answer, it’s just there’s too much to choose from. In a perfect would, everything. The building would be the size of a small city.

If I ever won the lotto or had money to throw around, since the first time I played it, I've wanted a Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. I'd probably also get a shooting game. Maybe a Buck Hunter since I like it best. Does anyone know if there is a sniper game where you can actually work the bolt? Something like Silent Scope should be my dream game, but it's never felt that good when it just acts like a semi auto.

Atari in the 70s and 80s were so ahead of everyone else. Those arcade games like the ones Pat mentions plus a few more he didnt (Xybots, I,Robot, Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters, Toobin', etc.) all looked and played amazing. All those game still hold up to this day with great graphics and amazing art styles. A lot of their 90s games were great, too. Pit-Fighter gets shit on a lot cuz of the terrible home ports but when it came out it was a big deal, and its lesser known successor Guardians of the 'Hood looks like amazing cheesey-ness.
