On thin aluminum i can see using the less hotter gas. However if its a thicker piece you have to heat up so much of the area around the weld to help heat disapation from getting the weld area up to temperature to work.😊

please re-read your question... do you burn a gas or a liquid? propane is a gas. yes you can burn propane. now if you want to use liquid propane, you need a double detente gas regulator, lower the pressure from 250 psi to less than 5 psi, then lower it again to the burner required pressure which should be 3.5 in water column or less. That setup is very expensive and requires to be done by a certified gas technician. the easy way is to use a blue propane plumbing tank or a green camping tank, of your need is for heavy-duty and long-lasting, you should use a propane bbq tank with a special turbotorch mostly used by roofers and 12 feet of hoses. Any setup bigger than that will be ridiculously expensive.

@@joelpichette thanks for the answer, 9 months earlier i tried to braze with jewelers torch attached to lpg. It does not get the job done. I did not want to spend money on any harware so just glued the parts with epoxy. The parts were 2mm thick aluminium sheets for a lighting fixture.

Yup just remember 10 min on each side and make sure the center is cooked to 165 then season and eat😁
