Michelle DuBerry is a living legend in Toronto, 83 years young and still doing it. She's fantastic. I was a little ruffled watching rpdr season 7, with the ageism. I didn't understand it. These young girls had an opportunity to learn and to hear great stories and they turned their nose up. It was kind of disgraceful.

MuffinPony it went both ways on season 7, older queens discrediting and saying what the younger queens were doing was not drag, that they were just playing dress up. It was not just one sided. Like Morgan said its just a matter of respect and both sides need to meet in the middle.

I agree with you Morgan! and all I have to say to those young queens is that you are not young forever, we r all going to age and when that happens there's going to be a younger person who is going to make them feel old bc karma us a bitch!!! I think nowadays ageism is an issue, just like racism, people get bullied and discriminated against bc of their age, especially among women and the gay community, we need to stop it now!!

Sadly, ageism is rearing it's ugly head in drag. Every season, there's discussion when everyone arrives (or soon after) to find out who is the oldest and who is the youngest. That's interesting information but I'm not sure the actual conversation(s) should be televised. That sort of reinforces it. As for being too old for drag, I want one of the younger children that feel that queens should stop doing drag at a certain age to say that to RuPauls face. I'd LOVE to overhear that conversation.
