I do worship online with NSPPD. but I think what the context means as in “what God cannot do does not Exist” means that’s God cannot promise what he cannot do! You see dear, this is exactly the danger in making sweeping assertions like the one under discussion. Like you said, if God makes a promise, it's then a given He won't renege on it because He CANNOT lie. So indeed, God cannot lie, therefore there exists what He cannot do and telling a lie is one of them. If however, the statement is supposed to assume God as a 'genie-like' equivalent that grants ALL wishes, then it's an even bigger problem because while God can do all things, He will NOT do all things, why? The name of the church is Streams of life Ministries & the morning prayer programme is called NSPPD ☺. Summer, some of us those cursing you or fighting you are not necessarily the church members. The programme NSPPD is a prayers programme by the church that is interdominational & international so this people who are not acting right may be from another country or church but are strong participant of the prayer program. That people sometimes idolize a Pastor does not mean that the Pastor accepts to be idolized. It just our African people over do attitude (they do not know how to set healthy boundaries). Finally, based on 1 Corinthians 13:9 we can't outrightly say the slogan is wrong. Has believers let's just stop attacking one another. We are all still learning even the Pastors don't know it all. Don't worry, guys I am not a member of the church but a child of God who knows God for herself.

I felt same way Summer felt about the slogan but I didn't have peace in my spirit to counter this with scripture. I once told a friend God cannot sin, etc. until one day, the Spirit of God told me don't be rebellious, this slogan is only about the potency of the supreme power of God. He said to me focus on the positive interpretation not the negative. Jeremaiah 32:17, Genesis 18:14, Matthew 19:26 validates this slogan by this group. The things of the spirit are mysteries & sometimes do not make sense to our human mind 1Corithians 1:27. It took the Holy Spirit to convince & help me see from God's perceptive. Listen to the Anthem by Dunsi Oyekan which they use, I believe it convey the slogan.

I understand your perspective however we have to be careful for the sake of those who are not fully matured or developed in the things of God. I also felt uneasy with that slogan because it is not correct. But when we see if from an implied perspective, example, there's no problem that God can't handle or there's nothing impossible with God, then it makes sense. I think the way the slogan is worded creates room for confusion and contradiction. Our God is not an author of confusion. The word of God is very clear. Most people are so lazy that they don't read their bible with the mind set of understanding it. They just rush to the next "new" thing.

I see it as a word of "hope" for anyone going through a difficult situation to remind them that God can deliver them- as there's nothing He cannot do! I never saw it from the perspective of "God cannot lie/repent/die/change etc. I didn't see a reason behind this conflict at all... Summer, Pastor Jerry's programme is the latest COVID in town, everyone is catching it left right and centre. My Sister who lives abroad called me and recommended the programme. I don't think there is any thing wrong with the tagline. When Apostle Paul in Phil. 4:13 said 'I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me' does that mean that God can strengthen you to do the wrong things? Of course not. There are things consistent with the nature and character of God and does are what he is talking about. Luke 1 37 says nothing shall be impossible with God. Is it talking about bad stuffs, or will you now include good things which are the things God delights in doing like blessing, protection etc shall be impossible? No. Does he have to tell a child of God that He is talking about things consistent with who He is, His character or His personality.

God can cure all things... it's his choice to or not to...it also depends on how bad we want to be cured or others want us cured. Elisha wanted Gehazi's ignorance cured. The friends of the leper who let their sick friend down to Jesus through the roof wanted their friend cured so bad... Sometimes we also want something so bad, that we may not get it until God chooses to... remember Lazarus was dead 4 days before Jesus went to Bethany and restored him back to life. The woman who asked for healing for her child likening herself to the dog that eats crumbs from the master's table wanted her testimony so bad. In all, God remains God and rules over all things.

It think in regards to the church, this slogan was derived from a contextual statement that the pastor says to charge the faith of the audience that there is no situation too hard for God to do and that "what God cannot do doesn't exist in line with his power to save, heal and deliver". Now we both know that entire sentence cannot turn to a slogan so it is cut short to " What God cannot do does not exist" but those saying it understand the exact context and I believe that's what matters. I am not a member but I listen in on the morning prayers and I remember a testimony of a woman with stage 4 cancer who when she told the report to her friend, the friend responded with "What God cannot do doesn't exist" to ignite her faith to believe that God can reverse it. This friend invited her to join the prayers and she got healed. It is used like a faith boost when believing God for something. Bit I get your point as well, and I believe those in the church know the deference between the context and the context of God cannot lie.

I looked it up and the man in question explained what he meant by the statement. It will probably be a child or a really weird person that would believe that God can commit sin or lie. That being said a lot of things in life are taken out of context even the Bible. Also anybody can quote scriptures, our understanding/interpretation comes from the Holy Spirit if He’s invited, or you might just end up reading or quoting it just for kicks. The issue here is that both slogans are correct depending on the context in which they were created. I don't believe this is all about Christianity but one side wanting their narrative (or slogan) to be heard. I'm sure these people already know and believe God cannot lie but this is not the message the slogan was designed to portray. Creating the reverse of a common slogan can be seem as an attack on that slogan because the message in the original slogan gets lost. This was the same thing that happened when the slogan "BLACK LIVES MATTER" was created and others created the reverse "ALL LIVES MATTER". Both are correct but portray different messages...

Yea, they turned back and tempted back and limited the Holy One of Israel. They remembered not His hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy (Psalm 78:41-42). What God cannot do does not exist is gaining ground now and it simply explains the awesomeness of God. We have seen, heard and read about many unbelievable yet undeniable acts of God which he wrought in times past and in our days. I also regularly say this but deep inside me, I don’t know if I actually believe it especially when I am faced with challenges that require only God’s intervention. Many times I try to calculate how God is going to help me, at times I try to ‘help’ God make do His promises by talking to somebody who could assist. I only pray that God will help me to know Him experientially. I desire to know Him just like Moses did ‘He made known his ways to Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel’. Moses knew God so he was always unperturbed whenever any problem arose; all he needed to do was to go back to God for instructions and direction but not the children of Israel because they didn’t know His ways but only His acts, little wonder they always forgot his previous acts.
