What God Just Told Me About Cessationism & Their New Movie

Troy Black: God just gave me a prophetic word about the new Cessationist film along with a prophetic word about what He is doing for Cessationists during this season.
Some popular cessationists like Justin Peters and John MacArthur would most definitely call me false, yet at the same time I believe if they have believed in Jesus as their Lord and Savior that they are truly saved. My heart in making this video is not to attack, but rather build up the body through prophecy as 1 Corinthians 14 tells us to do.

I am going to be watching for the fulfillment of this. I have been concerned about what I see coming from them for quite some time, Justin Peters and John MacArthur are due for a humbling. What has been coming from them is quite disturbing. They literally make me want to stop following the Lord. I want to gouge my ears when I hear them speak. It is awful. I have been wondering when the Lord was going to respond to them.

What most people don't get about Cessationists is that they are the voice of God on earth if the H.S. is not leading, it is their intellect it is humans taking the authority of God. That is scary!. John MacArthur says he is the authority of God on earth.

I was a teenager at the time and occasionally read the Bible, but while I was sick I had a thought that somewhere in the bible Jesus healed people, so if he healed people back then he could do it today.. I prayed and was healed.. That was my eye opener... Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever..❤

I know that my church doesn't work in the gifts, but several months ago, after i stumbled upon you, Isiaha and Vlad, I started searching scripture for myself. I am currently actively seeking the gifts. The other night, (real, dream or vision 🤔)a demon was on my face. I started rebuking in Jesus name with my hand in its mouth, then I started saying Jesus my Savior, flesh and blood son of God.....finally a pinhole of the brightess white light opened in the sky, and shot down and rescued me. Demon gone. Praise God!!! We are in a spiritual battle ad need the gifts of the Spirit to make it through.

Sister Bev, what you saw was legit, and now that you're standing your ground as a believer, you are realizing our identity in Christ, for we can cast demons out, lay hands on the sick, speak on tongues, and yes even walk in dominion. Same here! Watching a bunch of testimonies on One for Israel channel was what made me realize I might have demons. I prayed to Jesus to remove them and within an hour I was free of all the major torment I had experienced my whole life! Then God revealed Isaiah Saldivar's channel to me. I went to get more deliverance prayer and I also educated myself on fighting the enemy on my own with Jesus at any moment. I am now following another channel that is revealing the freedom and love God has for all of us if we truly want it. It is unlimited! And that is freeing me even more!!! God is unlimited!!! I'm just the opposite - I was a believer in modern day tongues, prophesies, and words of knowledge for about 15 years and I could just as easily say the same thing - "that GOD opened my eyes that those 3 things have become obsolete". But I don't want to be presumptuous so I'll just say that my position has changed - AND there's VERY GOOD reasons why. I didn't just wake up one day and say "oh prophesy is not for today". It was a process - a very logical one and one that makes a whole of of sense. And contrary to what the charismatics may think, becoming a "cessationist" INCREASES one's faith, NOT decreases it.

NOW THAT is a good comment !! And that's EXACTLY what I believe. Sally can hear GOD's voice for Sally. Joe can hear GOD's voice for JOE. However, Sally can't hear GOD's voice for JOE, and JOE can't hear GOD's voice for Sally. Now GOD can USE Sally to show Joe things, and GOD can use Joe to show Sally things. That's really how simple this whole "debate" is.

A couple decades cases ago, I heard that our brains have a number of auditory nerves, but a lot of them are not exactly connected to the ear. They are for hearing internally. So probably we are set up to hear from God. That's a good point point about Sally and Joe hearing what God wants them to.

Troy and people like him kind of torque me off because they NEVER fully listen to "our" position on this issue. Troy will say that "we" don't believe GOD speaks. That is 100% FALSE. Troy just can't come to terms that "prophecy" has ended a long long time ago. It is IMPOSSIBLE to have a closed canon, yet still have prophets. If there are still prophets among us, then the canon is still open. But Troy and his faithful followers want it BOTH ways and you simply can't have it both ways.

For me. 😂 For me, there is a lot of prophecy, because God is He in whom we live and breathe and have our being. But yes, there are people who either make stuff up, or grab prophecy from nobodies and repeat it as their own thoughts or prophecies. Sometimes with their own politics added in. To me the gifts of the Spirit have not ended because all is not perfected and ready for Jesus yet. And people sometimes just come out with Word of Wisdom, exactly the right thing to say. Not announcing they have a gift or whatever, they just say it. Sorry if I argued. I really like the gifts, and sometimes can't shut up about them.

I was in the Charismatic movement for many years and finally had to get out of it because I saw ZERO progress on a macro level in moving humanity forward towards the Isaiah 2:4 "mandate". I saw for many years fruitless claims and mass hysteria concerning tongues, prophesies, and words of knowledge and what is really interesting is those are the exact 3 things Paul said are on their way out - {he said that in the first century} which by the way is why he emphasized "LOVE" because "LOVE" would never fail. "LOVE" would be the dominant "gift" when the temporary gifts had become obsolete. And if you think about it practical terms, it makes a ton of sense. We don;t need "tongues" anymore because the Bible has been translated FULLY in right at 717 languages. We don't need prophesies anymore because JESUS has been seated at the Right Hand of GOD fulfilling numerous prophesies, but the post ascension of CHRIST prophesies have been fulfilled {along with Mathew 24} when Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed in Aug AD 70 thus ripping away the veil. {and JESUS COMING in JUDGEMENT}. {in 2023 if you want to see what is happening in the world, I think a periodical like the Wall Street Journal can get you pretty close what's going on in business and from that you can figure out the rest - NO need for "newscast prophets" LOL who have a very poor accuracy record. And finally we don't need "words of knowledge" anymore because each believer can just go to GOD themselves and hear GOD's voice for themselves primarily on matters pertaining to THEM. And to put the stamp of approval on everything, in AD 397 the Church leaders of that day gathered to figure out what manuscripts to put into the canon. If there were still prophets in AD397 {legitimate prophets}, then getting together to finalize a "BOOK" {which became the Bible would have been a waste of time. {or at the very least, premature}

Yes! Yes!! I believe this too, Troy. He is calling them back. I've seen Him calling out to Southern Baptists through the literature we have used for the past few years. So far, they aren't having it... but I have not given up hope! I know they love the Lord but hold fast to the doctrine that was taught their entire lives. I could never let it settle within me. Now I know why! I am standing the gap in our little church and will be there to help them when LOVE breaks through. The first page of their doctrine says they believe every word of the Bible is TRUE. But they can not show me where in the Bible it says the 5 fold ministry and healing through the laying on of hands is no more. The scales are thick... but God will knock them from millions of eyes! Soon and very soon!!! Godspeed, family!

Yes, I believe the Bible says tongues will cease, but that is when all is perfected and Jesus rules. (He's not here yet and I don't think all is perfected!) It also says in the last days, many will be lovers of themselves only, having the appearance of godliness but denying the Power of God. In other words, having churches that look Christian, and spouting Bible verses, wearing the right clothes. But not living the word of God and not asking God for his Spirit gifts so they can be rid of their sin. And I have heard God communicate with his church a number of times because they bothered to seek His presence and his prophecy.

Irecieved the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1984. Censationists, preacher in the church attempted to make me stand before the congregation and deny my gift. I left the church and returned 5 years ago to a church in another state. Then my fellow brothers and sisters shunned me when I professed my gift in tounges and that God had audibly spoken to me. I left that church. The next experience the pastor told me I had experienced a moment or blessing, but would not go near my actual Holy Spirit experience. Now my wife and I are visiting a large church but we’re not sure about their beliefs in the gifts. Please pray for us.

I am 74 years old and in 1996 after I had been praying on my knees and turning “everything of me” over to our Lord Jesus Christ, He showed me an amazing encounter with Him a few weeks later. Hi Troy. I am a student of Johnny Mac and was a cessationist up until recently when God led me to your channel. When I was regenerated or born again 6 years ago I was communicating with the Holy Spirit but then after listening to the preaching of the word and seeing the abuses out there of the continue folks I got real conservative. Also had some history with an assembly of God church in my 20s but sadly never got a solid understanding of the gospel and never made that connection with Christ until completely surrendering to Jesus in 2019 at 59 years old. Lately though something has been missing and after much prayer and reflection I have come to the realization that I need both the Spirit and the Truth. You are the first one I have seen that is oth biblically sound and gifted in the Spirit. I not only want what you have I need the Holy Spirits help everyday so you all can count me in as a new convert. And your right it is totally biblical.

There’s an uncle of mine, who is very against the spiritual gifts. And I noticed that when he tries to build a church, he winds up fighting with the people I believe this is because secessionists try to build up the church to make them look like onto them selves when we should have the gifts so that we can become like the perfect man who is Jesus Christ. Once again…I always want to continue to offer encouragement Troy. I love you brother and I know that you carry a burden of being obedient…. All I can say to you is how blessed you will be when the time for judgement comes and you face The King. It’s not going to matter what anyone said, it’s only going to matter that you spoke the messages that God had you deliver. God is speaking to you, more people believe the word of The Holy Spirit than the ones that do not. It was not until 2010 when someone asked me, “have you invited the Holy Spirit into your life?” I’d just started a ministry training course at a local charismatic church… the look of bewilderment on my face, must have been incredulous! I replied, “of course I have, I was baptised as a Believer at the age of 15… in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.” My now friend explained, that the Holy Spirit was the third PERSON of The Holy Trinity and as such, required an invitation… by that time the penny had dropped! What followed was truly awesome and from that point in time, Ive never looked back! 😮💟✝️🕊️

2 Timothy 3 immediately comes to mind. Those "having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power." God is a god of miracles and he is the same yesterday, today, and forever, yet these people deny those aspect of our God. Seems they believe in limited God who only worked in the past.

This reminded me of "Lean not onto thine own understanding" in Proverbs 3. Proverbs 3 is good wisdom. I think people who deny the power of God use shame and indignation to defend their cause. I know this because I know people who deny the power of God in others, but they like being authoritative as if they carry power. They like to attack with a lot of words. I think people are going to see that movie and whoever is in a church where the power of God is not flowing, people are going to start to cry out to God and he's going to give them understanding about the mission that Jesus completed and his promise of the Holy Spirit. Because its becoming clear to me that that's what its supposed to do if anything positive is going to come from it. We have to remember, Glory be to God. I think we all can receive more revelations of Jesus through his word. That he can open up the scriptures to the church and reveal the power of God that is moving in the church today, the power that we aren't aware of. That we would be aware of all of God's works, and acknowledge him. He is worthy.

Not sure I even knew about this...but the Holy Spirit DOES INDEED reveal to us. Intercede for us! We can hear audibly at times given the right circumstances! Many years ago when just a babe in Christ I had a horrible dream where the devil or a demon disguised as a " dummy" which looked like a television pastor...( can't make this stuff up) was yelling at me telling me " you can't do it. It's too hard!" Which I knew instinctively I the dream ment live out the Christian life...then I'm running down the street but getting nowhere looking back at this distorted dummy head screaming its going to kill me! Well Troy I woke up at that instant in the dark of the night, and I heard...audibly...do not be afraid, I am here...I looked up in the direction of the voice and there, in the dark was the faintest vapor...or smoke? Drifting away. Now I realized I was laying in a running position on my side if that makes sense and all the bed covers were completely off the foot of the bed in the floor...all of them! Now I had to be doing some moving in my sleep, right? But my husband never moved and was sleeping peacefully beside me...anyway long story I know but I will never forget that. I could not look at that pastor for several years after that! Keep doing what you're doing young man. God bless!

I never really got involved in this discussion until I got involved with a local Baptist Church in high school and college and a teacher was interested in bringing this discussion into the Sunday School. They were removed and told that the Holy Spirit never speaks unto himself. It simply seemed all wrong but in being young in the faith I simply ignored it until my late 20s. Another teacher used a book by Johnny MacArthur to consider how to examine such matters. The passage of I Corinthians 13 just simply appeared to be misapplied and what" the perfect thing that comes" is and felt it was about the coming reign of Christ. The Lord has continually shown me over and over through studying the Scriptures on how the cessationalist are wrong and where exactly the false teaching and false prophecy is in the Charismatic camp. R T Kendall is a fantastic read on how to look on this subject if you haven't read his books.

This is by far one of the BEST messages I've ever heard about hearing the voice of God! Scripturally backed! Definitely led by the Holy Spirit! This good of a message cannot be preached unless the person delivering the message was guided, listening to the voice of God. ❤️✝️🙏

A woman I know was prayed over by a friend who is a pastors wife during a womans Bible study and received the baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It was a joyful and revelatory experience, which drew her closer to God, UNTIL she mentioned it to her family pastor (cessationist) who warned her she may have received a demon. This terrified her so badly she went into a depressed/fearful state and remained that way a long time. I found all of this out after a few years had passed when she was finally starting to come out of that destructive fog. So sad.

That's so sad. I went to a spirit filled church, and no one ever nagged me to get the gift of Tongues, or made me feel less than. Also they sure didn't keep anyone from getting it. One day a visiting pastor said is there anyone here who wants the gift? So I went up there. I am so sorry anyone tried to discourage such a good thing.

Good word my brother. Another form of prophecy is when the Lord gives someone understanding of the scriptures. In particular knowledge of the end of the age and the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ and the coming judgement. I listen to many teachers , preachers and "scholars" concerning the time in which we're living and don't know of any that understand these issues. I would say that understanding the end times only comes through a brother or sister with the gift of prophecy.

Troy, you are correct! Even Jesus Himself said that the Holy Spirit would lead us into ALL TRUTH. (John 16:13-15) Jesus did not say some preacher would lead us into all truth or that some theologian would lead us into all truth....HE said the Holy Spirit would lead us. We love preachers and teachers and they help new believers. But sooner or later we all need to come into the School of the Holy Spirit. And, it is through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit that God operates that wonderful school of the Spirit of God. Troy I say amen to what you shared. Be encouraged!! PTL!!

the book of acts ends abruptly, it gives the impression that it is incomplete, that it continues to be an open book, a continued story, His story. I don't believe it was a mistake or an accident or coincidence that the book of acts 'ends' in that way, i do not accept accidents coincidences or mistakes, it was left that way intentionally, an invitation to carry on to continue the legacy, their work and effort, their sowing not in vain. I can see the great cloud of witnesses, encouraging us to carry on to continue what they started so when everything is done and accomplished, we will all celebrate it together

Why could Jesus only do a few miracles in his home town? It was their lack of faith in Him! The reason you do not see the works of the Spirit in the church today is because of the same thing. Lack of faith. The Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit is no different than Him. If you do not believe in the power of the Spirit then how can you expect Him to manifest Himself within the body of Christ? The Spirit of God wants us to know Him in His fullness!

Mark 16 actually ends at verse 8. The rest of Mark you will not find in the earliest manuscripts. It’s probably not a good idea to base doctrine on anything that follows that verse - I.e., taking up snakes, swallowing deadly poison, etc.

I agree this seems strange and I’m not reconciled on it yet. The teaching comes from a pattern in the book of Acts where apostles laid hands on believers to receive the power of the Holy Spirit and the initial evidence in those encounters was speaking in tongues.

I honestly have to say, I’m Asian American and my family is of strong shaminism background. Does any one know of how hard it is to convert someone of a strong rooted religion that is tied into there culture? Unless we saw miracles or come to the knowledge of the risen Lord Jesus Christ miraculously we wouldn’t believe. Because to us at one point Christianity was painted as a white man religion. I see why so many people on the outside look at us and say they want nothing to do with Christ now because of these unbelief we fight against each other. I’m happy a cessationist didn’t preach me Christ or else me and my parents would still be lost till today! This is so sad they made a movie like this that even my soul grieves at all my brother and sisters in Christ.

Unfortunately, a lot of well-known people are using the gospel to make money......they pretend to prophecy and push people over in the prayer line (I experienced this myself) and make a mockery of the Gospel. Its these people who have made it bad for those who are truly ministering the word and prophesying.
