FYI the design is not patentable because it has been around for a very long time. As in before a patent office existence. He could however TM the his name or logo and cut or engrave it in the product. Honestly his table appears to be capable of light commercial production. I would just make U-weld kits. Can call them shop artwork to get away from liability and then a guy only needs to create a mounting bracket, since many variations in axles used. Or possibly a cut to fit option.

Does the front lower link hang below the tire rim? What happens if a air line blows at speed? I've built in removable bump stops so nothing can drag on the ground if there is a issue, but they can be removed at a show to lay frame.
@HardCoreFab4 жыл бұрын
The front lower link is only 5 inches below the axle and the wheels are 15inch. So it will be fine. As for if a line blows at speed yeah there will be sparks flying but that's part of laying frame.
@gothambaygroup35913 жыл бұрын
FYI Anthony. You can just use the solenoid for bag operation and mount them at the bag. The valves are fail closed so if anything happens to the line or electronics, bag still holds air. I welded and capped 1x1 square tube inside my chassis and used bulkhead fittings so I could just air up the chassis tube without having hoses everywhere. You can go to the trouble of making the chassis tube air tight front to back and eliminate the tanks altogether as well. Did this on another and work fine but was concerned with corrosion from condensation in the frame so did the tube thing. I could pour an ecoat in the inner tube similar to the product used after dipping a a body as well. Maybe try it next time. Anyhow I just have a short braided line from the chassis to the bag with the valve I attached at each bag. I ran a wiring conduit in the chassis as well with watertight bulkhead fittings. Just more sanitary. Ok I'm a little OCD lol.

Hello Anthony, just stumbled on this build series you have for crow and the hooker. Great stuff. I do have a question. Why not use the existing holes in the cast axle to mount? I mean obviously you can weld cast and sheet steel together with nickel wire and if you control the temps it will have the best chance of not cracking. But on a suspension you still risk cracks in the casting. Just curious what your thoughts were. Also if I wanted to get in on that build and drive to SEMA thing, how or who do I talk too? Thanks and take care!
@HardCoreFab3 жыл бұрын
It is all about the look of it. As for the build off drive off things are kinda falling apart with all that. Are you displaying at Sema?

So question from a noob here, wouldn't it of been a bit better to have put an angle at the the bottom of those bags just enough so the bags push forward a bit and so the don't want to burst out on the top rear side? Does that make sense? It's hard to explain what I mean but when there is full weight on that the bags look like the want to blow out at the top because of the angle your cantilever settup is pushing and if the bag was at a slight angle it would push the bag directly to your cantilever system rather than leaving a large part of the bag wanting to blow off the other direction. Your the expert not me so I'm sure you know best I just see what I see.
@HardCoreFab3 жыл бұрын
The top and bottom has to be parallel when its aired down so the bag don't get pinched
@rockandroad4x4partsaccesso364 жыл бұрын

As far as your steering bracket for the drag link, just make one. I've seen em made from plate and bent with holes to bolt to the same bolts as your caliper bracket. Some guys use heavy round rod and bend it and weld tabs with holes to bolt it all up. Look on the ol tube and you can find a lot of variations.
