@sashaapillai Жыл бұрын
take an online course! look at the program requirements at u of t and take the maths courses respectively!
@aly6876 Жыл бұрын
You can apply for CCIT or any major and then enroll in cs courses first year. You can get into the program as long as you meet the post requirements. (This year I think it’s 80% for CSC148 and 73% for MAT102) but as the other comment said I recommend taking a math course online and practicing ahead. Especially for MAT102!

@@kurmi.why psychology? And what are AP classes
@kurmi.10 ай бұрын
@@alizanauman7803 ap classes are advanced placement classes taken in as a separate course in highschool instead of the subject and you’ll do ur ap exam in may , you’ll have 8 months to study it’s easy / medium not hard if u study , and if u do 3 ap courses , like English , psychology, and political science you’ll get the ap diploma which greatly raises ur chance of acceptance in university , and you can skip some classes in uni if u did the ap course in school .

@@kurmi. true, but its good to start thinking about it sooner than later. I'm not sure if I'll apply to uoft in the future (I'm in 10th grade right now), but are AP classes super important to take? The plan is to go into environmental science, but I'm not sure I'll be taking anything AP.

how much extracurriculars did u have
@MikeZ763 ай бұрын
@@dzciple4931 I got into UTSG Arts and Science with a cGPA of 3.90 (out of 4) from an average public high school in New Zealand (It's relatively easier to get a higher GPA from doing NCEA). If you are within Canada you want to at least aim for the top 10% in terms of solid grade. A thing to note is that UofT really cares about overall excellence, it's better to have all B+ than a mixture of good and mediocre grades that give you the same overall GPA. Consistency of performance matters, especially so in a competitive uni like UofT. On top of that, you might wanna check out the ratio of Canadian high school graduates vs UofT's domestic undergrad intake. Last time I checked, UofT takes a little over 17,000 undergrad freshmen per year and 25% of students at UofT are international. Meanwhile, around 350,000 students graduate from high school in Canada every year. In terms of extracurriculars, I probably spent less than 5 mins filling the entire non-academic section of the application but that might be different if you're applying from within Canada, best to check with your school's advisor. If you are international like me tho, it should be slightly easier and much more academic-based. Keep in mind that UofT's international tuition is on par with some of the top private non-Ivy unis in the US and downtown Toronto is VERY expensive to live in. Good luck to your application :>
