This has given me the push to continue on with my engineering degree. First module completed with the OU! I highly recommend. The tutors, material and online help is fantastic.

How's it going so far? Is there help and support in the engineering department? If you don't mind sharing your email I'd love to contact you regarding the engineering degree and how to cope. Thank you

There's probably no finer distance learning institution in thw world. Great range of courses; quality materials; tremendous support. IF you've made up you mind to study, commit yourself (and time) - then go for it. It will be worth it.

I am very glad that you guys succeeded at the OU like me and received your degrees. The OU is a great university to study because it is open to everybody especially me because I was able to earn a MA in Classical Studies where there was no way that I would had been able to do it at other universities.

Did you know that the OU has employed a crackpot (flying saucers, perpetual motion, 9/11 conspiracy) called Andrew Johnson as a tutor? Do you really want to help to pay his salary?

Yes we want him in

How much have universities over the past 30 years dropped their entry levels so any dead beat can go. Still gotta be so, so selective about what you actually study. So many toilet tissue humanities style chaff courses to choose from

tom a I'm studying through the OU and employers have voted it very highly, 14th out of the best 64 universities in the UK.

They haven't got any particular entry requirements, it maybe so, anyone can join the OU, but not anyone can complete it and get a degree. It needs lots of hard work, together with lots of determination and perseverance. Besides, OU is tougher than other conventional universities in UK, whilst you get an A if you achieve the mark of 75 in other British universities,, you won't get an A unless you achieve 85 in OU. Besides, many OU materials are similar to that of universities like Oxford and Cambridge.
