@@obione5532 If I were to describe what English people have for breakfast I would include : tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, orange juice , mixed fruit smoothies, toast with jam, marmite, spread , peanut butter , eggs, bacon, sausages , beans , fried bread , croissants and much more . I’m not saying that every English person eats every one of these items , but some people may eat one or some of them . So my video would be much the same , helpful , fun and informative .

Koulouri Thessalonikis was my favorite breakfast when i was in Greece before Covid. I went again this past Jan and i found something new at Sklaveniti in Kallithea--bougatsa me tiri. "It is to die for!" as we say in the U.S. i always liked bougatsa, but with cheese instead, it's so much better.

Heya from Iowa- a state in the Midwest. Ty for your fascinating video. Sadly, I've never gotten to try a Greek breakfast but now I definitely want to. There's many types of breakfast in the Midwest US. Sadly, as the decades ticked on we've gotten busier. One common one is just cold cereal with milk, and perhaps a little coffee, or orange juice. Cereal varieties here range from some more hearty tasting bran-flakes (with or without raisens), or your sugary nightmare varies (chocolate or non chocolate flavors available.) The traditional breakfast would be more what I call the Farmer's Breakfast. This can be as simple as scrambled eggs cooked in a pan with real butter, some bacon (the more fat type- called streaky in the UK) or even some hot sausage and oatmeal or pancakes with your eggs. One tasty substitution that can be done is to replace your oatmeal with grits but that's a bit of a Southern states thing. :) Grits are also delicious due to being cooked with butter and some bacon/other pork. Iowans would agree with Greece though that coffee is just vital to breakfast. ;) Cheers!

yes love those koulouri, sim to turkish? but more dense, focused? I suppose friganies with honey seems more typical of south Europe, cf biscotti of Italy and something sim.in France, (maybe with fresh orange juice,) and one of few greek things can find in UK. Would Cretans use those cretan barley rusk things daxos more? Spina/turokopita better for a light supper I think with mezedes maybe, but greeks tend to have more hearty meal for supper?

I remember 2 years ago I went to Κως for 2 days and the breakfast in the hotel was just AMAZING!! There was huge variety and everything was tasty.. good old times before pandemic.. Καλές γιορτές! I’m exploring here as we will go to Greece next year, God willing. I normally eat hot oatmeal with milk, dried cranberries and some walnuts. A piece of whole grain toast with real butter. And yes a good cup of coffee. Or sometimes an egg scrambled. I learned they do not serve cream and coffee. I’m open to trying the frape😅. I’m also looking forward to your Greek yogurt with honey and nuts.

I live in Greece and I have never had a coulouri in my life am 40 and Greek too but I live in Epirus not thessaloniki or Athens, were the Greeks of asia minor moved to. when I have my Greek breakfast it is usually Strapatsada or tiganites with hunny or Greek yogut with hunny not stinky sigaret with coffee.

Κάποιες φορές για πρωινό τρώω κουάκερ ή δημητριακά με φρούτα. Άλλες φορές τρώω μπέικον ή κυπριακό λουκάνικο και χαλούμι σε φρυγανιές. Τα κυπριακά λουκάνικα είναι αρκετά διαφορετικά στην γεύση από τα ελληνικά.

Όταν έμεινα με τη γιαγιά μου στην Κρήτη, κάθε πρωί μου έδωσε ένα αυγό, μια ντομάτα, μερικές ελιές, και μερικές φορές αγγούρι. Πολύ νόστιμο!

Στο παρελθόν συνήθισα να τρώω βρώμη με μέλι και berries και μπανάνα ή αυγά ποσέ με τυρί και ψωμί για πρωινό αλλά αυτές τις ημέρες συνήθως τρώω ελληνικό στραγγιστό γιαούρτι με granola και blueberries επειδή είναι πιο γρήγορο, έχει καλή γεύση, και είναι καλό για την πέπση. Και βέβαιος πίνω ένας καφές κάθε μέρα χαχα.

Μερικές φορές την εβδομάδα μου αρέσει να τρώω ζαμπόν ή λουκάνικο αναμεμειγμένο με αυγό. Αλλά για να είμαι υγιής, τείνω να τρώω γιαούρτι και επίσης έναν καφέ με παξιμάδι
