This is awesome. Inspiration for sure! Also, I know you’re an organic gardener; while I may be 95% organic, as I still use rubbing alcohol and peroxide on certain pests, I have to say, slug and snail pellets are quite useful, and I believe fairly compatible with organic gardens. Depending on the brand, and I don’t know the brands available in the Uk, of course, I’m in California… we have Sluggo and Bug-getta and both are 100% effective. And non-tempting to other animals…that are incessantly curious… 🙄 They’re just iron phosphate granules, which mollusks apparently love; whether or not that’s “organic”, it’s not a dangerously lethal spray, mist or powder… it’s lethal if you’re a mollusk, however. But then again, beer traps are highly effective as well 😜. Or o you can buy copper tape and wrap it around the trunks of trees or larger plants that are particularly susceptible. Or around the rims of containers. It gives wet or slimy invertebrates a slight electric charge and keeps them away.

Regarding evergreen Prunus sp., i think Prunus lusitanica does look even more tropical than P. laurocerasus. Maybe because it does look somewhat like a ficus tree.

Which conditions do you provide to germinate Musschia wolastonii seeds ( temperature, humidity, soil, cover the seeds or not…) ? Because I ordered few weeks ago Sonchus palmensis, Geranium maderense and Musschia wollastonii seeds (yellow and red form) but there is only the Musschia where I have any germination, the other I have realy great and fast results !

They seemed to like bright light but cooler temperatures for me. This is the first year that I had a really good germination rate on them.
