------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yes, this channel is created and managed by Hickok45 and John, mainly John. The video clips on this channel are segments of videos taken from videos originally posted on the Hickok45 KZbin channel. John always includes a link to the original video from which the clip is taken.
Hickok45 videos are filmed on my own private shooting range and property by trained professionals for educational and entertainment purposes only, with emphasis on firearms safety and responsible gun ownership. We are NOT in the business of selling firearms or performing modifications on them. Do not attempt to copy at home anything you see in our videos. Firearms can be extremely dangerous if not used safely.

Reminds me of an older guy I know who is filthy rich but drives a 15 year old car and lives in a relatively modest home. He is not cheap at all - he will always pick up the check at any dinner or event even if he does not know all the people there. I once asked him why he doesn't spend more and his honest reply was that he knows he can purchase anything he wants (within reason) so just the knowledge that he _can_ is enough. It was one of the most surprising and illuminating things I have ever heard anyone say and gave me much food for thought. [Just to finish relating the conversation] --> He said the most valuable thing a man can have, far more valuable than money, is simply peace of mind.

When I did lake treatment for a living, I had a customer who had a ton of land and had a horse business. He was a cannon collector. I was amazed at how many cival war cannons, naval cannons, and cannons from famous conflicts that I had no idea about! He paid and put the time and effort to affix them on various areas on the huge property that he has. Everything is original except for some. The wood chassis are time period replicas, but the cannon and trunnion are the same part that was used in the 1800's. He had contractors build entire concrete bases for the naval cannon that was tucked so deep on the property that nobody would ever see it except for him and the lucky few that got to do work on that property. I was able to get a bunch of photos of them and loved seeing them and talking to the owner about the history of all of them.

MR Hickok, I appreciate you as the OG of gun channels. Watching your channel over the years I haven't always agreed with everything but I sure have learned from you. Personally speaking if I could have something I want, it would be to have back every firearm I sold over the years, it would be quite a few of them with many of them being before the nics check was even instituted. They would include a mixture of Mosins, mausers, shotguns, 22's, and even a Garand. Also a bunch of cheap saturday night specials lol. There are alot of guns I'd like to shoot but wouldn't really want to own them because in my opinion a fine firearm is like a fine painting best left in a museum, well preserved for future generations to enjoy. With that in mind the number one weapon I'd like to fire a belt of ammo from would be an authentic ww2 era German mg 42 because the cool factor really is off the charts.

M42 “Duster”. Lightweight armored vehicle mounted with twin 40mm anti aircraft guns. My brother was a Sargent in the army and commanded a twin 40mm Duster in Vietnam in 1968-69. He is gone now and I have his army license to operate the M42 and the manuals for it. I have a number of pictures of him standing on his Duster. I don’t collect guns. I have a habit of buying them, shooting them for a while then moving on the something else. But if I were a super rich man I would acquire a “Duster”. They have always intrigued me.

Rather have a maxim since they have the highest documented round count in the history of man. 1 million rounds fired. Another good one was the zb26 lmg which the british tested to fire I think 120k rounds and still function even with broken parts. The browning designs were only tested about 30k rounds. Not sure if the minigun m134 was ever formally decoumented in a round count test but it's kind of a pain to need electricity for your gun to work

If I had to narrow down the guns I still want, it would be broken into about 4 or 5: 1) M1 Garand (every American should have one): $1800…just haven’t gotten one yet. 2) M249 SAW (a FA one, which is probably in the half million dollar range) 3) MP5K (I have a semi auto one, but FA is how God intended it. so about $60,000) 4) M3A1 Grease Gun. It’s a clunky chunk of sheet metal but it’s fun to shoot. $60,000 That’s about it. Think that would round off my gun collection nicely.
