mine lasts 14-16 💀 edit: my mum asked about it at my checkup and the doctor said it’s normal since I just began getting it at that time and when it lasted a while I wouldn’t get it for 2 months or more. Ha, so I go to a pretty small school and all the girls like to freak the boys out with period stuff. (it's natural, idk why it freaks them out so much) So, us girls are pretty open about when it's that time of the month. In the 7/8th grade classes a total of about six girls including me were all on our periods at the same time, and we were talking about it while the boys got SO disgusted and were like "ITS CONTAGIOUS??" 12, 13 and 14 year old boys didn't know they can't get periods cause they weren't contagious. Funniest moment of my middle school years right there.

There are BC pills that can make it so you only have periods 4x a year. Also, if you are on regular BC pills, you can "skip" the placebo week and skip or put it off for a month.

6:25-6:29- i actually beg to differ on this. i’ve actually did an experiment to see if i can shorten my period by drinking a ridiculous amount of water, AND IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! i started on a Wednesday and was done by Friday so moral of the story: if you drink a bunch of water before and during your period, you can shorten it to an extent

Hi, I have no idea why this was recommended to me, but I've been streaming Safiya Nygaard recently, so maybe that's why (she has videos on Period products). I wanted to elaborate a little on the "periods are not all blood" statement. It's true, but what it is wasn't really clarified. During the month, your Uterus builds up a lining, that is full of nutrients that would support life should you become pregnant. (the fertilized Ovum attaches to the Uterine wall, and these nutrients help keep the baby alive.)During the month, this lining gets thicker and fuller. When you do not become pregnant, that lining (that does include blood, which is essential to all life), is shed...that shedding is your Period. Ok, off my soapbox. Keep up the great work!!! You are doing so much good, helping to educate!!! Hugs.

So... yk how a lot of people think that we can hold in our periods? Well there was a part of a video: Perks of getting your period (ft my mom) by illymation where she's in class and she asks another girl for a pad and this guy is all, "Girls are so shallow. can't you just hold it in and wait until you have your, patches or whatever they're called?" and then she said, "I'm sorry. I'm bleeding. I can't hold it in." and then a personified Mother Nature comes and pushes him out of his seat and he starts bleeding. "Ow! I'm bleeding! Can somebody get me a bandaid?" and she said........."Ugh. Boys are so shallow. I had a science teacher in 8th grade that was AWFUL in so many ways. I will say he was awful to anyone, gender aside. He had a rule that only allowed ONE bathroom break PER semester. Well, I had started my period unexpectedly during class. I told him I needed to use the bathroom. He told me I had already used my bathroom break for the semester. Yes, he literally kept a checklist of everyone. I told him I just started my period. He told me 1. I wasn't old enough to have my period 2. Whenever I do wind up having a period some day, make sure to take care of it before class. 🤦‍♀️ I told my parents what happened and OH boy. That teacher and the principal got an ear full. Both of my parents informed teacher and principal (male, also) that I had started my period when I was 9 years old. My parents also said the school board should reconsider their hiring processes if a teacher doesn't know basics about human biology when they are a BIOLOGY & SCIENCE TEACHER. 😳 The school made all teachers lift their bathroom policies for all students, for the sake of being fair. I'll never forget how livid my parents were over this matter.

I have a period story, So my junior year of highschool i was in history class and i needed to change my tampon, so i made a pass on my computer and my teacher ignored it, I cancelled it refreshed my page and made another one and raised my hand a I said "can i use the bathroom I can't wait, he responded "you need to stay in class and wait until lunch (which was like an hour away and i was already starting to bleed through, i could feel it) I asked him again and he finally let me go, I got up picked up my period bag and started to walk out and my teacher stopped me and said "whats in the bag" I ignored him and walked out, when I got back he pulled me aside after class and told me that ignoring him was disrespectful behavior, he said that he was going to take my bag if I didn't tell him what was in it.
