Local grounds are always good fun! Loved it when Edward Stokes came to Taunton for their May bank holiday fair. Asked for a Slothy Cycle on the Twist and wow, it didn’t disappoint! Shame there is no backwards cycle this year though.

Hello Mr. FUN! I have to agree with you Dave that the star of a fun fair is always the ghost train. You would be amazed on how many ghost train podcasts I've seen in the past. I think just about all of them have a similarity of cheesiness in the interiors. Some more poorly then others. But like my kids say it's all in the fun and laughter of it all. Do you think perhaps the boys who do the spinning of the cars have to attend spinning college when working at the fun fairs? Looks a bit dangerous. Maybe the make more per hour. Definitely no spinning college, takes alot of practice, slow platforms for beginners, if the ride throws you off you need to dust off and try again. No extra money for spinning the car faster although more change is likely to fall out pockets and into the car, gaff lads tips, when I lifted the seats was more hair clips and combs than money 🙄😆

Last time I seen Earth Shaker under John Biddall's ownership was at Islington London early 90's, the arcade i managed was opposite they kept borrowing my cd's from the paybox, I had a good sound system in the arcade but Earth Shaker lived up to it's name back then had the arcade shaking from his bass bins 😂

I think you are one fantastic dad.i come self from one Tivoli in Denmark. That the same some Disney world, but not so big.we have 40 workers and 100 workers in our biggest festival. I be really mad on people there drinking beer all the day, and only give the kids 100 English pund.that 1000 Danish kr.and that not okay. I give many kids Teddy bear.
