The only thing ppl made comment on was him not being a gangsta & using Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff's street rep in Queens to moonlight as if he was. An him saying he was the next 2pac in 2001 rubbed many the wrong way, but due to their ties to Suge Knight many in the industry kept quiet. But even Preme former 2nd Lieutenant Bimmy even said Ja wasn't built like that, he was tryna be a rapper when he was growing up & being around Preme gave him protection from getting robbed. That's the only thing ppl got on Ja about behind the scenes, it wasn't made public til Murder Inc's beef w 50 & G-Unit came to the mainstream media's attention in late 2002. An to be fair Irv Gotti played a role in a lot of the backlash Rule received for the Pac comparison by trying to make it legit image wise. Overall Rule a good dude, he just wasn't as tough as his street records said he was.

Drink Champs is amazing, but NORE can’t help himself, he always talks over everyone. His Redman interview was one of the best ones he’s had so far, and that’s saying something given how many great interviews he’s done. The thing is, his Redman interview was going perfectly until he decided to randomly talk about R Kelly, and then Michael Jackson. The whole vibe of the interview changed and Redman went from laid back to completely confused, and visibly upset. He was understandably about to go in on NORE when Michael Jackson’s name came up, he even said, “Watch what you say next!” That’s the thing though, I respect the platform he’s giving artists who haven’t had a chance to tell their story, but he feels like he has to tell his story at the same exact time. It’s a billion times better than the culture vulture Vlad though, so there’s that, but it’s messed up when he tries to steal shine, or talk about his hits while showing love to other artists. I’m a Haitian immigrant from a mixed background, and old school Hip Hop helped me learn how to speak English, so seeing my idols get the love and respect they deserve is nice, but he needs to let them talk.

@@andreearl3258 This is what I keep telling people!!!! This is not a journalist interviewing artists that he/she has no relationship with. This is a RAPPER talking to his friends and fellow rap peers and having a convo over drinks more so than an interview. I like it this way a lot. It feels just like what it is, just a couple old homies sitting back having a convo while allowing us to be the fly on the wall.
