Stephen, I did not like history while in school. When I have been places where actions in history happened it becomes a lot more real to me. You do a great job of keeping it interesting. You packed a lot in to this video, but managed to keep it interesting by bringing it to life. Thanks, and keep up the great work.

Hey Stephen, thanks for the video. I wrote down everything in detail and will be adding it to my notes to help guide me in future lessons and studies. Although, I have a different view on the last Kingdom and believe that the last Kingdom has already and come and is the Kingdom we are currently living in. Just wanted to say you did an outstanding job with this and thank you so much for helping me understand this better. I was taught this in school, but I love how you simplified everything in a matter of minutes.

As a kid in school, I was a fan of the old ancient civilization type of history because I always wanted to know how we as humans originated (this was before I believed the Bible when I thought it was just a fairy tale) and how people lived such different lives from today. I discovered I really like learning about different cultures and just what it would be like to grow up in different nations in different climates and circumstances and under different rulership- ancient Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, ancient China, the Mongol Empire, the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incans, the vikings...such cool tales! Documentaries helped too. My least favorite part of history was towards the 19/20th century when the focus shifted to gun-based wars, railroad development, plantation slavery, nuclear weapons, politics, and the industrial revolution...it just got so complicated and more about memorization and dark, sad stuff than understanding different cultures.

The king had a dream and Daniel interpreted it and everything he said in that dream has happened so YAH is real. Every history book in the world has a TIMELINE in it and at the MIDDLE of it are the initials " B.C." so chew on that piece of fact then realized that salvation is free!!! Accept CHRIST as your savior and mean it in your heart. Get Baptized and I'll see you in Heaven!!!
Thank you.. It is very clear explanation.. God bless you always..

The silent gap is not really as silent and quiet as we think. For example, the Deuterocanonical books (aka extracanonical books) such as the Book of Sirach and the Book of Maccabees (which belong to the Bibles of Catholic, Orthodox, and Lutheran churches but not to all Bibles of Ptotestant churches) are from this period. And the book of Enoch also dates from this interval, and although it does not belong to any canon, it is quoted several times in the New Testament.

What about Anna? She is referred to as a prophetess in Luke when Jesus was only 40 days old. Also it was revealed to Simeon in that same chapter that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. It is true that there was no written revelation preserved for us.

After the Persians was the Greeks as Daniel prophesized. Upon Alexander the Greats death his kingdom was divided between his four generals. Israel was a part of this kingdom. Want more information research the Maccabees, books 1 and two and that will let you learn much of what happened during those 400 years.

It would be helpful if you would point out the fact that King Herod was not an Israelite but rather an Edomite. He was not a descendent of Jacob. This is important because it opens the door to understanding that there is a distinction between being an Israelite and being an Israeli.

It really makes me think. If Jesus was born around 6 BC. BC means Before Christ. Then why is it that this 6 BC didn't became 1 AD? Because Christ is already been born.
@StephenCastleberry3 жыл бұрын
Good question! The BC/AD notations are not from the Bible, but made by man as a way to honor Christ’s birth. They could have just made a miscalculation.

From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands. - Acts 17: 26 You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. Nice Job! However the date of king Harrod's death is highly disputed. We must be careful what we claim is scholarly and dependable information. We must declare the dispute and differing points of view. Many historians, archeologists and theologians have his death around 1 AD or just there after. We live in a world ruled by those who discredit the biblical narrative at every turn. Please use caution when teaching others.
