@Primm - You commented on Andre 3000 sounding country and wearing overalls. As a native of Detroit, born and raised, I went to high school with girl who had a country 'isk accent. Her parents were from the south, so she habitually pick it up maybe. Historical note: Detroit, Michigan was a new opportunistic designation for African Americans during the Great Migration, escaping Jim Crow oppression of the south. My grandparents were a part of this momentus event. Detroit was also a very important landmark route of The Underground Railroad, allowing many slaves to take refuge into Canada. Furthermore, Dre's fashion trademarked style might have been freely expressed through his depiction of the Jeremiah character. He's a hip hop icon in his own right, introducing OutKast's Atlanta-based lyricism and sound to the rap game. It is possible John Singleton allowed Dre's attire for that reason.
