Alcohol consumption is most definitely encouraged by society as a means to bond between friends and family but from my experience also seen as necessary to get ahead in business. S. Korea has the highest rate of hard liquor consumption in the world. And of course they are monumentally different in many ways but it comes down to weed being proven the less dangerous and unhealthy one between both drugs. So that is the hipocrisy i am commenting about. However manyyy other countries do this exact same thing

Then some industries saw that and let their idols write lyrics. 2) Very first kpop album to reach top 10 in US tunes charts 3) Their "MADE" world tour was the most attended by a korean act 4) Largest kpop arena tour in US history 5) first kpop group to surpass 300 million views on KZbin on a MV 6) Most viewed on-line kpop concert in history 7) big bang are the first versatile and hip hop kpop group 8) while still be in the group all of the members have successful solo careers 9) the different and unique music you hear in today's kpop was actually started by BIG BANG 10) They were the first kpop group to create a light stick 11) They have timeless and unforgettable songs 12) They influenced the rap line in kpop. In the start kpop didn't always had rappers and they all along with the singers sounded almost the same and the rappers hardly rap at all. BIG BANG changed that. They put their own color and different voices and changed that. 13) Along with PSY and some other groups BIG BANG opened the doors to America and introduced kpop music to the world. 14) their live performances were always different and unique. 15) they are the idols of the idols and they inspired so many new idols to try to become singers. And many many more. So I hope now you see that they earned the title and that NO ONE can steal their title. I'm not saying that other groups haven't done anything of course not. But especially the new groups cannot compare to our kings. Even if you hate BIG BANG please accept those facts and RESPECT the idol of your idols.👍

Steal their title? What does that even mean? It's just something that a lot you Kpop fandoms only invented to fit a narrative. By no means it doesn't discredit what they have done as a group. But lets remember there have been people, behind the scenes, who too have helped BigBang become who they are and guided them as well. But they're invisible. Without them, BigBang wouldn't still be this huge group in Kpop. But BigBang has also pulled their own weight to be this successful as they have been. Didn't know there was a title these Kpop singers had to get. Honestly, what is so important about getting that title? Cause it really isn't at the end of the day. I think no one is denying or ignoring BigBang's achievements so far, because yes they put the work in and then there is a thing called luck. Why must in Kpop, these people be called Idols (I even hate saying that)? Couldn't there be another way to say besides that? It's just a horrible practice to normalize these people as something more (no wonder why one of the reasons they get stress out) and weird to put these people on a pedestal for no reason. "NO ONE can steal their title" is just a closed minded way to think. In every generation, there is always that one group that they aspire to be and then the next generation is aspire by them. It's a cycle that has been happening for years and years.

G-Dragon is an androgynous fashion icon, Daesung is a trot prince who had those pipes, TOP with his deep voice and good looks, and Taeyang is a ballad-singing romantic guy who also had pipes and an allergy to shirts. Junhyung left Highlight because he watched a inappropriate video sent by JJY so that he left Highlight but never left AroundUs entertainment he or the label would have said that. But on the wiki they call him former artist when he never left the label. They even said that he was leaving for the military. Hey, your explanation about TOP’s case is inaccurate. You could’ve mentioned he did smoke weed before his enlistment and admitted to it when it was found out while he was already conscripted as a police. He wasn’t found unconscious in his own home. He was staying in the police barracks where he asked for a psychiatrist for help... but the police didn’t let him. It took him 5 days before he did take a lot of his anxiety pills and the police brought him to the hospital. He was given a 2-year probation (is already serving that suspended sentence since July 2017) which will end this July 20th after his enlistment. The judge will then dismiss his 10-month prison sentence if TOP hasn’t broken any laws this past 2 years.

And with Seungri... most of the accusations against him are false. From the chats which were manipulated by the media, to his involvement in molka, even the prostitution. So the ONLY accusation they tried to charge him with is embezzlement. That’s why the court rejected his arrest warrant because there’s NO VALID EVIDENCE to back up these accusations against him. All of these came from “informants” and the media. And just so you know... it was released on the news recently that the police has been investigating the embezzlement issue for 3 weeks now but cannot find an evidence to prove it. See? It’s all because of BB’s brand that they are being targeted as scapegoats to hide the real issues. It’s not the first time the South Korean media have done this to popular celebrities... especially YG artists. Everyone’s throwing accusations and lies at them but the truth will always prevail.

I only got to know BigBang in 2008, but that's mostly because social media wasn't as big then and it was next to impossible for a person living outside Korea to get hold of their physical albums unless you go to Korea (which I couldn't at the time because I was a penniless student). But I took the time to learn BigBang's history through fan-subbed videos (ahhh I remember how hard it was having to download these videos through forums) and watched their concerts (Stand Up is still one of my faves ever). Those were good times.

Two scandals at once, public hate, national TV called them murderers and YG planned disbandment, but after all of that they still managed to come back with one of their most successful eras and to become even bigger. This time everything depends on their wish to come back and our wish to support it. My biggest concern about their possible comeback is do they actually want it. Before hiatus T.O.P and GD already looked too tired of public life and YB now has a family. When I know that T.O.P now lives surrounded by art out of a public eye I feel wrong and selfish wanting him back. I don't reckon it's a right thing to determine future of BB while they're in military and didn't even comment on the issue. We should wait for their official statement on further activity of the group. The group will be fine without Seungri, the question is do they want to continue without him.

Exactly. Many are already assuming what the members will do after their military service. Yes they promised us VIP that we should wait for them on that flower road. And that was before Seungri's problem. They might continue their career as a group of 4 but do they still as happy just like before when they were complete? They might be or not might be happy. We will just wait for their return and see what will they do or say about what happened with their beloved maknae and their future as a group. I really hope they can stay but I still respect their decision if they don't. Even if it hurt me as hell.

I started listening to K-Pop because of Big Bang. I'm pretty sure that's true for many others as well. It was the week before my last year of high school started. I visited my best friend's house to find her in the middle of listening to Lies. I was hooked almost immediately. My love affair with K-Pop started with them 12 years ago and is still going strong. There are times when my memory is blurry when it comes to when I discovered a certain group or heard a certain song but I remember vividly exactly where I was and what I was doing every time I watched a new Big Bang/GD MV (3 guesses for who my bias is, lol). There's a Big Bang song for every occasion. Haru Haru, Untitled 2014 and If You are still the songs that I go to when I'm heartbroken. When I listen to We Like to Party and Dirty Cash, I feel just as amazing and upbeat as I did the first time I heard them. Their music has seen me through the best and the worst times so I know that the wait to hear them again will be worth it. @InternetsNathan I just discovered your channel and I'm basically binging on your videos right now. I know just how much time and research goes into these videos and I can really appreciate how coherent and concise your videos are. I can't wait to see more!

Even Joong Young given his official statement that Seungri was not involved in what they were doing. So don't be confused from JJY and Seungri's case. They have had a different kind of cases. I am a woman too. What JJY and other's did to the victims were unimaginable. But it was nothing to with Seungri.

Maybe BigBang will create the 3rd version of "Fantastic Baby" and "Bang Bang Bang". I got into kpop with Super Junior when they first started. But Big Bang did something that SJ and other kpop group couldn’t do at that time. They brought hip hop and modern style to kpop. If you look back at old kpop video of other group at that time they have more of a Jpop look with the long hair and baggy clothes. Yes Big Bang did have those too but it was more modern looking.
