Hence why many people don’t last long in it, you have to do and see a lot to make it to the top and make a name for yourself. And many people that have left the industry/hollywood talk about how dark it is and draining it is…. That’s what that means. You don’t literally have to sell your soul, but to lose all your beliefs and morals to gain notoriety is one and the same. Also look up Clive Davis and how he did Phylis Hyman and Whitney how he threw a party in the same hotel she passed in, (he’s always been talked about being an evil man, he got in trouble for using payola in the beginning)

Such a talented woman! No. But there are some. It's easier to break into the American market if you live there and because America is much larger Britain if you want to grow your fan base its easier to move. Also America will pay a lot for British artists like Adele, Jesse J, Elton John etc, but a lot of British artists like Amy Whitehouse, Freddie Mercury, The Beatles, Stormzy and others turn down the offers. Britain won't pay American artists any extra to persuade them to emigrate.
