Them, the Browns and Chargers. So many gifted athletes have wasted years with these organizations. Barry Sanders would have just retired with untouchable numbers had he been on the Patriots or Steelers, even Denver. You know, organizations owned by lovers of the game and a drive for a championship, rather than a profit from a game where a championship is cool but a steady profit revenue each year is just fine.

BBBYpsi right so opioid addiction would hurt a team less than a player smoking a bit of weed? Plus if the NFL wasn’t so hypocritical with it’s rules there wouldn’t be any fines for it in the first place.
@BBBYpsi4 жыл бұрын
@@brendan9868 I agree with you on it. Problem is one was legal in the NFL & one was illegal. Yes they are hyprocritcal. After learning Clavin was smoking weed after every game how is it that the NFL drug testing did not catch it. I am willing to bet they let it slide. He was a big star player & caused zero drama. If he had caused any conflict with the NFL then he would have been suspended. Just like when refs screw teams & favor the same ones all the time. perfect example 2014 playoff game with Detroit & DallasPerfect example of favortism. If you look Suh was getting held & tackled really obviously & badly whole game. Yet not one single call against Dallas. They throw a flag at key part of game for PI against Dallas gives lions first down in FG range. They over turn PI. Guess what Chris Christy was in Jerry Jones private box & has claimed he got that call changed & was in the leagues ear the whole game. Tell me again they do not try to fix games.

Honestly I think way more players should take a year break when they are 28-31. Like just sit out a season. I'm a vikings fans and so many of our vets have prolonged their career by 4-5 years just resting their bodies and preventing the injury. Or look at basketball with Michael Jordan's 2 year break. People dont realize how bad pro sports are for your body. My brother isnt going to take a college football scholarship because he isnt nearly NFL good and doesnt want to ruin his legs

Same thing that happened to Barry Sanders. 1 playoff win since 1957. Our QB is 6-46 against winning teams but has a $135,000,000 contract. Our defense is ranked #30. They’re owned by the Fords. The Detroit Lions is what happened to Megatron. He turned down $15 million dollars to never play there again. Enough said

Their prime was the 1950's Barry would have done just fine. Calvin would have been a non factor since back then hardly anyone threw the ball. Bobby Lane was Lions QB & in 16 years threw for only 26,000 49% completion 196 TD's with 243 Int's. Bobby was the leader in the 1950's for pass attempts & passing yards. They also only played 12 games per year.
