These two were wonderful to work with at ABC. I was a production assistant for the Captain & Tennille for the entire run of the '76 season. We taped it at the ABC Lot located at Prospect and Talmadge in Hollywood. I had the honor of booking the Sunset Recording studio pre-record sessions for each weekly show...was able to work with all the musical acts booked. Toni and Daryl were very sweet people. I remember visiting their home and playing with the two English Bull dogs...one was named Broderick ( after Broderick Crawford) for get what the female was named...ha...remember their Road Manager asking me if I'd be interested in the position too! The show was executive produced by Dick Clark by the way. Thanks for the video...brought back good memories.

Growing up in England in the 70’s these two appeared on Top of the Pops one day, seemingly out of nowhere. We were used to unusual American acts with keyboards coming through, such as the Sparks brothers. So we were ready for it. Looking back, what I don’t think we were quite so ready for, because it wasn’t the general view at the time, is what they brought to the party that was new. Which was this sense that you could be in a marriage, and a hot relationship, and perusing your life’s vocation all at the same time and with same partner. That was a strong message and it kind of jumped out of the speakers at you without you even knowing it.

Simpler times. Charming couple. It says Neil Bogart, founder of Casablanca Records died of Cancer at the age of 39, which could have put a crimp in the company. At 7:40 The Captain looks like Bruce Willis in "The Jackel" and at 7:45 Toni looks like Marcy Darcy on "Married with Children". I was into hard rock in the 70s but I knew they were quality Pop stars. Still sing along to "Love Will Keep Us Together" Total professionals.

@@michaeltischuk7972 No. Nobody steals songs. That's basic music business. "Muskrat Love" was written by Willis Alan Ramsey. America covered it then Captain & Tennille took it to the top of the charts. They never intended it to be released as a single. That was A&M's decision.
