He didn't have vertigo in college. While on the Pacers in his rookie season he took a shot to the head specifically on the ear that gave him vertigo. He was never the same after.

I honestly view this as a negative for the NBA. The fact that a guy like Hansbrough can’t be successful in the NBA is evidence that they’re product isn’t as good as it once was. Hansborough would’ve been a very good NBA player in the 90s Era. This era is just too soft for a warrior like Paycho T.

He was a solid pro for a few years couldn't match up with the freak athletes In the pros. The little things he did, the heart, the hustle they just don't translate and are not as important in the NBA. I feel like the NBA is a inferior product. I hate watching it. I'd rather watch kids that are not the greatest but actually care and fight and play defense l.

@Basik Just saying that gritty players like Hansbrough who rely on their physicality and toughness to make plays can't really impact the game like they used to because of the direction the league has gone in recent years. Yes, the shooting/scoring ability of the players themselves is a contributing factor, but the way the games are officiated also plays a major role as well. NBA basketball just isn't as physical of a sport as it used to be. Personally, I thought it was more entertaining back when it was.

This wouldve been golden info before his draft for certain. Actually probably wouldve gotten an ESPN interview no bs. Because that explains EXACTLY why he played so “tough” in HS and College bit when he went against grown men that were smaller than him, he froze up and all that “toughness” vanished. If i was a team and I thought about drafting him, pitting together that he was a huge bully with the way he played on the court (which was basically just bullying smaller/weaker players) that bit of info you gave wouldve taken him completely off my board.

He’s always been my favorite player, and to know he has vertigo like me is crazy! Let me tell you, some days you get out of bed and the whole world just starts spinning for no reason. Sometimes it’s positional where you tilt your head too much in a day, etc. very debilitating disease. Mine happens about 2-3 times a month and last for a couple of days. You can take medicine but it makes you drowsy and you don’t feel like yourself

@zacwoods

Apparently according to some that went to HS with him, he was a bully. So thats probably why once he wasnt the biggest and baddest player on the court anymore, that “toughness” faded. Idk if those people are telling the truth but it would line up and explain why Hansborough was a completely different player in the NBA.

Tyler hansbrough is actually the best PF in NBA history. Whenever david west gets injured, tyler gets to start at PF and all the opposing teams quit in the 3rd qtr. The pacers can already win the game in just 3 qtrs. He was too rough for NBA players. That prolly the reason he got shadow banned by the league. NBA is a rigged league. But in an actual game, i would chose tyler over any other PFs. Even tim duncan or sir charles. And I'm a charles barkley. He's the reason i started watching the NBA. So u can say that this comment has no bias whatsoever If u doubt it. Watch on yt tyler hansbrough's dunk on amare stoudemire.

So basically this was when a big like him who just roamed the paint was getting phased out of the league. He wasn't the strongest nor the fastest nor had a great shooting form or was he the best defender on the perimeter. The game literally passed him by. He was a smaller center.
