My grandfather and his brother used to work at the Ford factory in Detroit in the 50's and I love working on cars and trucks and I love painting them and doing car audio.... What do you mean what happened to Danny Koker ? As if he went away and isn't around anymore. He is still on History channel making new episodes of Counting Cars and on top of that still making new episodes of his other tv show Ultimate Rides. Not too mention his Restaurant/Bar&Grill and Tattoo Shop. So he is very much still active and doing Great !! Danny is the MAN !! I know for a fact Danny once owed so much to money to a certain motorcycle club they entered his family home they took alot of classic cars and bikes from him also the club each had there turn with his girlfriend one after the other while he had to watch

The times taken to rebuild the cars was never really specified, however the impression is they were turned around pretty quick. Andy Ross' car took 6 months, however if you watch the episode, it looks like he came back a week later and it was finished. I understand time is compressed to only the time spent when a car was worked on, however that time is never accurately reflected.

Some even show the process of tracking down or ordering parts as part of the presentation. During the time waiting, they work on other cars, and that footage is complied for other episodes.
