Blaming CTE is easy but I think a big problem for a lot of pros at the end of their career is dealing with that next step in life. Playing football in the NFL keeps you around a good unit of people and requires dedication. I'm just speculating but I think once some guys lose that locker room camaraderie they have trouble adjusting to "normal" life. I love Earl and I hope he can find peace.

Great video, but you said one thing that was slightly off. You said that Chuck Clark was being prepared to be "the starting safety" as if he and earl were competing for the role. In fact, Chuck Clark was the starting strong safety and Earl theoretically complemented him well as the free safety. I'm a ravens fan so I don't blame you for not following this as closely as I did, I just wanted to clarify that Chuck and Earl weren't fighting for the same job. Also, Chuck Clark is essentially the quarterback on the defense, wearing the green dot and in general being a vocal leader (he is very well-liked and is close with the whole DB room). So while it was odd to have a much younger player calling out a legend like Earl, it really shows Earl's ego that he wasn't willing to reflect on his own actions when the top dog of his unit was giving fair criticism.

8:33 Controversial opinion, throwing it wasn't the wrong choice. Almost everyone expected them to run it and there were other downs. The only reason it got intercepted is some random depth secondary player had got burnt by that play in practice and happened to be on the field.
