For this list, we will look back at the best new player for every season of the NRL era (1998-2023) to see how their careers panned out after their impressive rookie season. He played it right. Got money from his name for the first contract and then left. Without his NRL background a guy of his skill level never gets a sniff. He was really limited as an AFL player in any position that his body type could play. Made a good shot of it though considering he never played the game before.
