Good review dude. My Firefly is a little wobbly at the torso joint but tight at all other joints. Nothing like my Snake Eyes, that one is so wobbly that he barely stands. I really like this version of Firefly, they nailed the colors and look of him.

I'm not sure where, I thought I tried all the spaces but it doesn't hold it. On his left forearm, you can wedge it in the "cuff" and it holds pretty well.

@@destrosdesk same thought, i used one from AF weapon set (forgot the name), a green/olive drab psa ar9. The colour relatively matches FF's green pouches. The gun fits FF aesthetic seamlessly, you can mod the suppressor onto the barrel to resemble the og even more.

I just ordered an Action Force weapons pack for the Joe's. Keep your eyes open for a weapons set that will work specifically with Firefly. Like they have a desert commando set that will work with desert commando snake eyes. So they may come out with one for Firefly. That way you'll get a new kick ass backpack guaranteed to have a peg on the back pack. If I see something I'll let you know. Cheers dude 🍻

I see a trend with review videos. The reviewer watched other people's videos before doing their own review. The video creator said he heard others complain about the ab looseness. This tells the audience that this video is not a blind, uninformed review. Once the figure was unpacked, "QC issue" was said so much that I felt I needed to take a drink every time I heard the phrase. In my opinion, a QC issue hinders the ability to pose the figure. For example, if I pose the figure to fire their weapon with an outstretched arm and the arm continually falls down to the figure's waist, that is a QC issue. I did not see any evidence of a QC issue in the video (or with my figure). My figure also had the loose abs but it didn't hinder the figure posing. The part that really got me was we couldn't stand the figure but the figure was standing on its own (on a rotating platform) at the end of the video.

Hi, I appreciate your comments. First of all, I'm in Canada so by the time I get my hands on a figure, it has already been out for a month in the USA. So yes I've seen and heard videos, comments and photos of this figure and and over and over I'm hearing this figure has a few issues. I do my videos for me because I enjoy creating and editing them. So when I got this figure I was obviously wondering how it was going to be. First time opening it right on camera and yes it has some issues. Is it the end of the world? Absolutely not. It's only a toy. This is the first figure I have reviewed that I wasn't happy with. Have you watched any of my other videos? Probably not. And in those other videos I praise how much I like the figures and never say a bad thing about them even if they have little imperfections. And yes after moving the figure around on camera I realized that the posing of the figure wasnt too bad. And it's now standing on my shelf and he's standing fine. So really in the end I'm allowed to express how I feel about the figure in my review, it's up to you if you want to watch it or not. Cheers

The torso and waist aren't connected all the way. If you move the belt lower, you'll see the torso sits higher that should.

@@destrosdesk It was a solid review! I always like watching the new stuff. I don't have a good solution yet. I'm not a big customizer, so I'm trying to remember folks who are to ask them. I am hesitant to do a straight boil because of the softer plastic on his bandoliers and crop holster rig. Once I get those off, I'm thinking a boil and separation to at least be able to see what's going on.

You can fix the looseness by putting watery elmers glue on it. Let it fall in the seams and move it up and down. Leave him alone for 24 hrs and then move him. Instant fix. The waist is unfixable though.

I bought 2. 1st one came from BBTS. It came with his head off. Legs twisted and back arched all to hell. His ab crunch is loose. But once posed and on my shelf, it isn't an issue. He still looks awesome. I haven't opened the one from Pulse yet.

I am not so sure your "loose" issue was bad luck. I believe it is systemic across the board. Mine was and every review I have seen has the same problem. It's hard to say whether it is an actual QC issue or an engineering/design problem.

No you're right it's not just my bad luck but I have heard there are Fireflys out there that apparently don't have any issues. Since the figure looks as great as it does I may get another in a month or so and see if I can get a better one. But for now he's posed on my shelf and is looking good! Cheers dude 🍻

I found that his rifle is too pliable and bends too much when you try to pose him with him holding it with both hands, The stock is way to flexible.

Hey Walter! Thank you for checking out my video! Yes unfortunately the weapons Hasbro equips with these figures are disappointing. They are all way to flexible. My suggestion (unfortunately another cost) is to check out the Valaverse weapons packs and/or Gridiron Studios for their weapons kits. The stuff Gridiron is putting out for Classified figures is incredible. I really hope Hasbro makes better quality weapons in the near future.

Good review. Sometimes you get some bad batches, probably depending on how it was made. I did a review on him on my channel. I am not a big fan of most of the backpacks in the Classified line, especially the Tunnel Rat backpack is oversized and the vintage one was too big and top heavy . I don’t think I had an issue with Firefly’s backpack though in my video review of him on my channel.

It looked like they put a bit of a curve in the back pack to align with his back. So that helps a lot. Yep, somehow, it seems like they use an incredibly inconsistent algorithm in the same plastic format for the backpack in the plastic injection molding process in my opinion. I am not sure why, but since Hasbro, I think, refuses to move out of China, there will always be inconsistent results of their machines that are injection molding machines due to the quality control issues, in my opinion.

This is the first post I've made here. Nice review, and I agree with your assessments of this figure! I have two of these figures, and one of them is better than the other when it comes to the loose waist issue. That said, I think that even though one is better, the waist still has a loose feel to me. Clearly, there are QC issues with this figure. I'm betting that the ball joint that holds the torso onto the pelvis is too small, or the hole that it fits in was carved a little too big. The worst of my two figures is REALLY bad. I can see the gap, and I fear that the figure is going to snap into eventually. Hasbro has used some very cheap plastic on this figure. That's pretty obvious. Too bad, because the sculpt and details are pretty nice. Not sure why all the Fireflys got the glossy eyebrows either! Both of my figures have glosses eyes--which is great--but also have the shiny eyebrows--which makes no sense at all. I may try to use soak my Firefly with the weakest waist in some boiling water to see if I can pop him apart. Then I might be able to figure out what's going on with the looseness of the waist. Perhaps it can be fixed by adding some apoxie sculpt to the ball joint or something as simple as that? I'll have to risk one of them to find out what the issue truly is, but it's clearly a real problem.

I don't have the issue at the knee or the torso. Love this figure. I've heard there's a production issue, but I have two that are fine. One has a little torso looseness but it's not wobbly. I do have a bit of that gap, but by pushing the diaper up a bit it seems to have helped. No issues posing or standing, even on one leg. A second one might be better.

This has to do with moving production away from their long-time, high end partners in China to less experienced but more geopolitically stable operations in Vietnam.

My whole figure is like a marionette. If you look at the box art, there is even a huge gap in his waist there. I'm 100% disappointed in this figure i got from Hasbro Pulse. I bought a snow job due to FOMO and I almost canceled it, but when I say that figure is the EXACT OPPOSITE of this figure. They both came the exact same day. Opened firefly first and then I properly put him back in his box. Took out Snow job and left his on display for a couple of days until the next figures came. Does the floor wax hack we used for transformers work or is it a no go because those are hard plastic?

I honestly think they decided to move to a different plastic with this figure. Prbly something more cheaper, its definitely alot more "gummier". My Vypra was the same way.

Good review. I have one question regarding "looseness" as I don't have Firefly in hand yet. I see a lot of people complaining about it being loose. But it does not look loose on camera. I'm fearfull that we American Figure collectors have become so accustomed to Hasbro and others incredibly stiff/need to be heated joints that we've forgotten how they are actually supposed to move. if you put the limb, hips or abs in a specific position does it hold it well if you lightly shake the figure? Or does it go all rag doll? Rag doll is bad. Joints moving smoothly with little effort os actually good. Try posing a Figma or Sen-ti-Nel and you'll get what I mean. Can the figure support its own weight? Figures being slightly looser than what we've been getting the last few years is actually good. Floppy Rag Doll is bad.

So if yours is the same looseness as mine then you won't mind it. I think if it was played with over time it would become a rag doll. I got 4 of these, all are trash. Bad ab crunch, weird hip gapping, waist gap and what’s with the shape of these butterfly joints… the hard corners stick out like broken bones. I was kinda afraid to play around with this figure to much so I didn’t take notice of the elbow joints, I hope they’re not like the Crimson Vipers and extremely soft. The head sculpt is bland looking imo, the V1 Firefly has a much better face. Will it stand on a shelf and look good at a distance? Sure, will it last long under actual play, doubtful. I don’t know who is buying these for their 4 year old, but that’s the age range for them 🤨
