I always wondered about how Heath died. The media was yapping about his role as the Joker getting to him too deeply and psychotically and that it drove him to madness of sorts. I didn't know about all the drugs and other things that came to light later. So sad to lose such a talented and gifted actor. My favorite pictures with Heath were A Knights Tale and Brokeback Mountain.

He was exhausted - went straight from the dark night to london to film the imaginarium of doctor parnassus (a movie full of symbolism and it gave me the icks). The inspiration for the Joker’s voice was the actor who played the devil in that movie. Quite strange. Heath got pneumonia and was really sick, flew back to NYC, could!’t sleep well since the dark night wrapped & he just took more that night. After I got over the shock of his death, I was furious that one of the Olsen twins who gave him the pills got protection when the enquiry into his death started.

I was in the midst of oppiate addiction and this really opened my eyes. It could have been me. I went to rehab 6 months later and sobered up. Rip Heath.

This guy was definitely one of my favorite actors.. love him and Batman and a Knight's tale but the one movie I sure wish you would have made would have been portraying Andy Gibbs. Often look at pictures of Andy Gibb's in different stages of his life as well as Heath ledger's life and I quickly found that both of these two guys had a lot in common and looks and I always thought he would be the one to do the best job of portraying Andy Gibb's life story. That's what I never could understand. It said 6 different drugs at once. That's not always the case. Because anyone of those drugs stay in ur system for at least a week. So he could have taken 5 of those drugs within a weeks time. Then took the 6th drug on the day he died or even the day before.

His art is great because of his passion, commitment, soul, his preparedness, his curiosity, his perseverance to show his take on the Joker. Lastly because he worked hard not because he was the "best". That's what shows through the screen. No, Heath Ledger was not the "best" Joker, but a very, very great Joker who is immortalised in cinema.

I believe it was the combination of the drugs and not the intention of the drugs used. Unfortunately, and very sad, this has happened to others. We don’t know about the others because they are not famous people. He was too young and was very talented. I may have been troubled with depression and sleep disorders but he also loved his daughter too much to leave her intentionally. I can only hope and pray that those who are close to her have told her the same.

I'm glad I followed this documentary through to its conclusion. As I knew little about this actor as soon as sleeping tablets plus antidepressants were mentioned, in a parody with so many great young actors before I feared the outcome. Heath Ledger put everything of himself into the roles he was cast in at detriment to his sleep. It's strange if not criminal the lady who found him unconscious took a whole hour to contact the emergency services. This seems to be the case with River Phoenix and even Marilyn Monroe. In retrospect, I wonder how things would have panned out if Heath had remained with Naiomi watts his senior in years, but it seemed they understood each other. A sad loss to the world his family of a very talented kind actor and human being..
