This is a very long chatty video! I’ve been asked so many times where my Reissue is, so I thought I’d share my story.
I forgot to mention at the end of the video that after the last phone call the points were still not fixed.
And as I said again, if it is normal for the bag to do that then it’s just not the one for me no matter how beautiful I think it is. When spending this much money it needs to be 100% something I’ll love and wear forever.
As frustrating as this experience was, at the end of the day it is just a bag and it really doesn't matter and it's not a big deal! ❤️❤️❤️

I am so glad that you returned the bag, at this price point it truly has to a perfect bag and experience. That certain reissue was not meant to be, but I know you will find a flawless one if you want to give it another try. No transaction should have that many obstacles. This is not a cheap item. It ruins the positive experience and you start to hate the bag lol. It has happened to me!!! Thanks for sharing sweetie ♥

I love your truly opinion. I have similar experience with you but with my boy bag after I bought about 6 months the brushed gold hardware starts tarnishing I can't use with my light tops at all .End up with sent to check and repair it took 2 and a half months. After I have received my bag I was so excited but still stressful I saw a leather strap was soooo soft and had wrinkles a long the leather which is my fault didn't check properly before pick up the bag. Few days later I had to go back to the boutique again to seek how they gonna do it. At this time I want to get credit back because I don't want to wait for repairing again. But a manager came over and spoke to me she can't do it has to be send to repair but she will look after my case and get it ASAP. I'm not sure now I'm still want to buy Chanel anymore but I love Chanel. I feel like the bag over $7000 AUD didn't bring joyful to use not fair at all.Sorry for the long story

The reissue is not a structured bag and due to how its made, it will fall forward, especially if it's brand new. This is not a defect, perfectly normal. It was made to store flat. You can train it to sit up, but it will still lean forward. I have one as well and just love it.

Brenda Bogowith Not true. My new one stood up day one or laid flat from day one. It doesn’t lean forward at all. Never did. I love mine too.

What a crazy story! I give one chance to do the right thing. Then I call the corporate number and ask for the CEO. Believe me - that ALWAYS gets the problem fixed.

Thank you my lovely friend for sharing wonderful story about your Chanel Reissue. I have also a Reissue bag I bought in Siam Paragon Thailand last Feb. because it is my husband birthday gift for me. I need also to return my bag on July 11 because it is my schedule to go back to Thailand for a Buss. trip.There is also something wrong with my bag the length of both sides are not the same. I used only 5 times during special occasions. Everytime I used my bag I am not comfortable because there is something wrong with the bag. I'm very thankful that you share your experience about Reissue. I bought my bag for 197,000 Thai Baht at the boutique. I will send my picture through Instagram on a private message. Sometimes we have to keep it all in perspective. I certainly have a cap on what I can spend on bags. My husband would say my cap is $0!!!!! But I would never spend $5900 on a bag. My one and only chanel bag was a splurge and even the alma pm I picked up from you was a big expense. The bags are expensive and for what we spend we should have flawless bags. Your collection is amazing and you certainly shouldn’t settle on an imperfect piece. Glad you were able to return it! Enjoy your awesome collection!!!

Thanks to social media the public has a platform to inform the public about the problems in customer service, especially at CHanel, I have heard more horror stories lately. They need to focus on treating their customers with more respect or lower the price of their product

I was on vacation and catching up with my videos. OMG! you are very classy but I did not know the extent of your patience. With this type of treatment, I would have changed my mind, even if the bag was perfect. I would rather wait and buy this either preloved (if I am so much in love) or get it in Europe. I always prefer to buy things in Europe because I get the newest styles and get my taxes back. I am so happy you returned the bag. As you said, you have multiple luxury bags and do not need to pay a lot of money and be treated so poorly. Blessing to you..

Oh gosh, I just love your attitude and how we are both alike on negativitities situation! I love unboxing luxury items, inspecting it, and take photos to post on my instagram, surely I'll be keeping what I'm happy with. I hate the hassle and returning anything becus that's not who I am! I'm sorry for all of this you had to go through, it's ashamed! My reissue did not flop over. Reissue is an amazing bag but I totally feel you! Don't let anything stop you finding the perfect bag! You deserves the best!

I'm so sorry it didn't work out. The whole experience sounds bizarre. I think the customer should receive unbelievable service at that price point. Did you get to get your credit/points back?

What a bad experience the whole way around. I never have luck using different SA’s either. So not worth the high price tag to just fall over. This one is off my wishlist. Thanks for sharing!

Even if everything had worked out that bag would always have a bad memory attached to it. I got rid of a lot of things in my closet that reminded me of bad things/experiences. I suggest everyone do the same! Don't wear negativity!

Thanks for sharing your story! So frustrating when dealing with reps over phone. Had to call back 4 times to get a mail order prescription error resolved after being assured by rep each time error was corrected. Curious if your reissue fell forward when empty or full and if chain was forward or backward. Just purchased one in last few months and mine fell forward also. Thought it would drive me crazy. However, problem resolved itself after using it a couple of weeks. I think the rounded bottom got trained as the weight of items inside flattened the bottom with use. Chain also has to to backward. Now been a few months and chain no longer needs to go forward and back stays up. Thank goodness!!

Shopping math 😂 I’m sorry this was way more difficult than it should have been! Some stores are horrible about transferring inventory according to my SA. Hopefully you can use your usual SA when ones avail in your boutique. I’m faithful to my SA and if she can’t get things then I take it as a sign because she has moved mountains with certain boutiques. 12k points adds up! My reissue also never flopped forward.

Shopping math is the best math lol!😂 My SA tried so hard to get it transferred, I should have known better I never have luck when it’s not my SA. It’s like they know you’re not going to be a repeat customer. Glad to know yours never flopped forward. I knew that couldn’t be normal. ❤️

OMG 😮 so many obstacles buying this bag... such waste of time and life ... I am sorry you had to experience these ... lesson learned ... never purchase a Chanel bag from random SA over phone ... I think shopping experience is equally important as the product itself especially for luxury products, not to mention the product itself has issue... I am glad you end up returning it.

Happy Tuesday my dear friend and you look beautiful as always!! 🤗 I finished watching the video and I completely understand why you returned the bag..with the amount of money you spent on the reissue,the bag should have been absolutely flawless. Also, the manager or supervisor should have immediately called you back but instead it sounds like they were trying to avoid giving you the points that you were owed. I am so sorry this happened to you but I do think that if it's meant to be then you will find the perfect reissue someday and I hope you can find it preloved and in amazing condition.❤️

I really think you should have filled out the survey or write a letter to that boutique. Many times the right hand doesn’t communicate with the left hand and a well written letter with specific complaints can help them and future customer down the road to not have the same experience.

And I agree that putting negativity out there sometimes sucks the happiness out of you, but in this case you were just abused and were mistreated by multiple people in the process. The OCD in me wants to make sure the whole boutique knows what they did to you and how much of your time they wasted!! Can I write the letter?! 🤣😘

Omg I can’t believe they put you through all of this! Terrible service! Anyway, o feel the same, that if the bag flops forward, it would not be worth that price tag... I’m not a huge fan of the reissue for me, but I do appreciate the history, and it is pretty!

Love how you keep it real! So frustrating and yes once the experience goes wrong it can ruin the feeling for the bag. Question, did you get your points back on the original purchase?

My reissue doesn’t do that with things inside but stuffed with a light pillow it does. My issue is that I’m not getting the same feeling as I do with my classic flaps, not sure why.

Chanel seems to have quality and altitude issues when we spend so much on a bag ! That’s so bad ! 😡 you should get your money worth ! Return if it’s not perfect! 👌🏻

Omg, what an awful experience. You’re more patient than me. Lol. Not sure where this happened but the only store I’ve had issues with points and them telling me I used ones from a current purchase, is Saks. I’ve always had it rectified but it was a hassle. 😉

Saks does it too? Crazy that they hire people who can’t add! Mine didn’t seem like it would ever be rectified. I had similar things with them and their points before but they always fixed it. Such a hassle when their programs should just work.

This is definitely unexperience customer service(awful). About the reissue bag, because the bottom of the bag is not flat it can’t stand on the table. I even storage the reissue bag on the soft tissue and keep the bottom rounded. I saw people flat the reissue bag bottom on KZbin video, it wasn’t the right way to use this bag.

I bought a WOC from Chanel and noticed after going to wear it for the first time, that it had a loose thread on the back pocket. I took it into the store and they took it into the back and trimmed it, came back to me and asked me if that was better...WTH, are you kidding?! No! If anything you made it easier to unravel! So I asked them send it off to get fixed. So disappointed with the brand.

I saw Sophie Shohet mentioned in a recent video she was looking at a purse but decided against it because it kept falling forward like you mention. Though for your next Chanel unboxing, I'd love to see you throw confetti at yourself ☺️

Just on a side note, Chanel SA’S are really bad everywhere. They are good till they can walk with you to the till, if you are browsing, then you get a cold shoulder. Speaking from experience. Its not possible to buy everytime.... atleast not for me. Money has to be spent wisely and where you really want to. Nobody should intimidate us even if we are browsing because it most probably means we are saving up for the one that makes “throw confetti around the house”😂

I have met a lot of really bad Chanel SA's. I can't buy something every time I'm in a store or every month. I don't let them intimidate me anymore. I really have the attitude now that if it's not there when I am ready it's not meant to be. It has to be a confetti moment lol! :)

Did you have to pay for shipping? Shipping out to you and shipping back? Did you pay for insurance for shipping too? That can be very expensive? I’m curious as to how much, if any, money you lost in the whole transaction. The store should have covered the costs with all the hassle they put you through! I had something like this happen with my chanel Jumbo purchase and the point money they promised....

They paid shipping both ways but I did pay to upgrade the shipping. That’s the only money I’m out.

Lux Purse Love yes. It took many months and multiple emails and phone calls and finally threatening letter, but it got resolved and they stood by their promise. But what a hassle!!!

Terrible! I'm surprised your regular SA couldn't order it for you from that other store and arrange delivery. Establish a Chanel SA from the boutique instead.

She really tried she even had her manager try but since they are so limited the store didn’t have to release it to her. She’s my favorite Chanel SA I mostly work with her.

What the hell? You just spent all this money on a bag and this is how they treat you???? I’m so sorry! That’s terrible! You’re so sweet and even if you weren’t, they should be treating you like a queen. It’s Chanel for crying out loud! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am hearing a lot of stories of issues with quality. As more and more people have the ability to purchase high end designer bags the quality has gone down, maybe due to demand. High demand is probably the reason they raised the price. Yet I am surprised at the quality. I wonder would anyone who is a novice even notice the panel is defective since it doesn't sit right. Something was off. I have heard it with LV and I am surprised with Chanel. I worked in a LV salon and we would get defective merchandise, and were always careful to look over and examine it, then ship it back if it was defective. They should have caught that. I am surprised at their customer service, usually they have someone track and follow up. They lost a customer haggling over and issue that should have been fixed immediately. Glitch or not they should have handled it immediately.

I’m sorry you had to go through that. That’s just unacceptable! It makes me nervous to buy at Channel....especially since I’ve had nothing but bad experiences when I step foot in the Channel at Neiman Marcus....in more than one state. I still have hope for the actual boutique but I don’t know. Checkout timelessv0gue on instagram. She has awesome bags might be a good place to get the reissue if and when you decide to add it to your collection.

I just watched your video. This was awful! Terrible, terrible. I am in Virginia but I use an SA in Nashville who has been awesome and I have had several transactions with him. I love that I can nearly do everything by text. And btw, used my triple points twice without issue.
