Thanks for sharing this video. My Wrangler had the same problem. I replaced the Aux. battery and it was ok for about half an hour then message came back on. After watching your video I checked the neg. connection. It wasn't loose but I disconnected it, cleaned it and that seemed to fix the problem. I have driven it about 75 miles and no message yet. It was coming on about every 10 miles after starts. Thanks again.

I just wanna say thank you very much for making this video. I have a brand new 2020 JLU 2.0 turbo. I got sick and tired of the auxiliary battery and the main battery always dying. So I changed everything out with the genesis dual battery kit with two Full throttle AGM batteries. So I put the kit in and everything was fine and three months later I was having the exact same problem as you. The only reason my problem was more of a pain in the ass than yours Is because the dealer wouldn’t do anything for me because of my aftermarket battery change. I called two places they couldn’t help me either so I turned to KZbin and found you. Went out to my jeep looked at that side ground wire was loose as hell. Tightened it up everything squared away thank you so much I really appreciate it 👍🏻🍻🇺🇸

Thanks for that info. I have seen where people have not been able to jump start the vehicle when the smaller battery has gone bad. Why? Not sure but I know a lot of people would like to totally get rid of that smaller aux battery all together and just run off the main battery only. I recently found a video where a guy has figured it out and posted a video. He pulled the F42 fuse and then disconnected the negative aux battery cable that comes up and connects to the main battery. He wrapped the metal end with tape so it doesn’t touch accidentally. Problem solved. He said he can now jump start the vehicle and he’s running the Jeep with the main battery by itself now and it’s been working fine. He has also deactivated the autostop feature. I personally have installed the autostop eliminator. Once again great video 👍

I'm using a Tazer JL Mini to disable the autostop feature. I'll look into the F42 fuse thing to remove the aux battery from the circuits. Thanks for the info! Thanks for checking out our video!

My 2020 Jeep Compass is doing the same thing and we changed both batteries, replaced the with new ones and that’s when the warning sign came on the dash board

Was the ground wire loose on yours as well? It seems to be a common problem that batteries fail too early.

I have installed Genesis Gen 3 dual battery kit. It’s all on the same tray under hood. It eliminates digging under fuse box in the future when auxiliary battery dies.

We've seen that slick Genesis system and agree it would simplify things tremendously. Thanks for checking out our video!

I guess we should make plans to replace our aux batteries before they leave us stranded. Thanks for checking out our video!
