WHAT HAPPENED TO MY RESCUED CAT? + Fostering Cats | Part 2 | Pumpkin's Story

Back in Fall of 2016 i rescued an emaciated Cat i called Pumpkin. During that video i mentioned how i found her and what was wrong with her. In this much awaited update video i talk about what new developments i found about her condition, how her treatment went and where she is now. I also mention how she got me into Fostering Cats and how I've continued to Foster Cats to this day thanks to Her.

Update: I forgot to film a small part about her diagnosis and misdiagnosis, so these were not brought up in this video. So i may include a Part 3 of her story that mentions her Vet Visit and what went wrong with this specific vet. Sorry about that.

This was a great video. I was sad for pumpkin, but I love what you did with that experience. You gave pumpkin a loving home even for only a short time and have helped more cats. I plan to foster in the future when the timing is right. Thank you for this video and the information on fostering. I think more people need to know about it.

What a hearttouching story.😇 I remembered my cat hid underneath the bed when she was sick and we thought we could treat her condition until she passed away. 😢. I missed that kitty and she's with my mom in heaven. 😳

This hit me hard as 2weeks ago a skinny gray cat showed up on my porch. I ended up feeding her and the next time I opened the door she bolted into the house. We are keeping her now and she's an amazing cat. We tried for a week to find her owner but we've had no luck( checked for a microchip posted on Facebook called the local shelter and she had no collar). She's getting spayed in a few weeks and getting shots. We think she was dropped off as we live in a more rural town and sadly... It's not uncommon for cats to be dumped in the country thinking they can fend for themselves.

Thank you for taking her in. Sounds like you did everything right by trying to find an owner. Since you're now the care taker of this cat, what did you name her?

Thank you, you and Pumpkin. I love the work that you do to foster and rescue animals. It was sad to hear what happened with Pumpkin, but it is so apparent that you gave her love and care even if it was just for a small period of time. I'm sure it made a difference to her, and I am so glad that she inspired you to be able to help other feline souls in need. Thank you again, for all that you do from education to rehoming the animals you help. You do it with love, and it shows.

This video teared me up. We have several cats all with different stories. This made me think of our first cat. She was abandoned in late fall when the weather was turning cold at a young age. My friend I worked with thankfully saw it happen. Someone drove to a very small town and got her out of the car and drove off. My friend saw this happen and took her in even though she knew she couldn't keep her. Luckily it came up that my husband and I were thinking of getting a cat and so she brought her up and we decided we would give her a good home. I couldn't imagine our lives without her. But the fact that someone could could just abandon her has always hurt me because she is such an amazingly sweet girl. :) I love her and all the cats we have gotten since so much. They are all very different and I think that is something special.

There was a cat that used to hang around my garden. I would give him food, water and toys to play with. Unfortunately we had other people living with us and one of them was allergic to cats so we couldn’t let him inside. When everyone fell asleep, I would sneak outside and bring him to my bedroom so he had someone and a warm place to sleep. Two months later we finally found the owner. He said that they were moving and the cat go stressed by the people moving the furnitures that he ran away. They said he had been searching for the cat until they had seen my poster. My mum and I went to a shelter (since the cat had a collar with numbers that would track the owner) and shelter confirmed that they were the owner. I was happy that the cat got his previous home back but also sad because I had him and took care of him for two months. I was six at that time and now I’m fifteen. I don’t know how he’s doing but I hope he gets the love and care he needs and deserves.

i cried for pumpkin and thank you for becoming her mommy for the time you had her . and recently im loving all your adoption stories . this is great . i too took in a kitten in need his name is Nahal and he was unsociable and was going to be flown from south Florida to new Hampshire for the Darbster kitty program i volunteered for 1 week to keep him at my home but once i met him i knew he shouldn't be flown out of state he was so scared of everything i thought this 5 month will surely panic on flight and die of a heart attack so i told the rescue no and that Nahal would be living with me forever that i wanted to be his mommy and help him socialize . i now have had him for 8 months and he has bonded to me he is my son and i can't imagine my life without my Nahal.

Heartbroken heartfelt sad loving amazing awesome story. I am proud and happy people like your self are out there. I am a true animal lover. I believe animals should have the same rights as humans. I have 7 cats who are my fur babies. If I had a farm/house I would foster cats. After all my 7 cats are gone or most of them are I will foster cats. I believe in fostering and adopting. Omg I hate the place already. Like really there answer is to kill the cat because they don’t want the cat OMG. I would be screaming at them and being a big monster lol lol. I am truly deeply sorry for your lost of pumpkin. I understand how you feel so much since I lost a cat to someone killing it.

I have hypothyroidism myself , I don't know if you meant hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism but I can't imagine a cat having it:( my levels go down sometimes and need a bigger dose of medication, a cat can't tell you of they think their levels have changed:(

The animals that I help out are hamsters you're the beautiful and shelter near my place and then take care of hamsters and guinea pigs I go there every single day to see if there's a hamster that I can adopt so that's why I go there all the time instead of buying from PetSmart or Petco or petland and they're really comfortable place and really welcoming place too
