We tried Nemechek protocol after seeing your video and have recently went to Rifaximin as well. It does seem to be helping our son with his stimming. He is verbal and told me details of an event from 3 years ago that I had forgotten. Prior to the Nemechek protocol he really just spoke in simple sentences. He is also much more aware of subtle social ques. We're going through some sad times right now because he is picking up on some negative feedback from kids, but I am hopeful that it will be positive in the long run.

I know you probably have seen it but, have you seen the movie called Temple Grandin? She went to stay with a family member that had cows. When she saw how they put the cows in a lock just so they wouldn't move while getting their shots . She would put herself in that holding place when she had anxiety. Then she made one for herself. Anywa y an amazing story. I am so sorry about the regression of Isabel. But, we will continue to pray for complete healing.

My neuro-typical 6 year old went through a chewing phase when he started getting his molars, when it was over it stopped, so maybe as she is losing and adding teeth she will need more chewy input temporarily? Also, thanks for talking about the Nemecheck protocol, I've been watching you try it from the beginnning and I think I will implement it for my ASD/ADHD kiddo. Love your vlog, love your sweet girls!

Ashley, there are silicone chewing objects for kiddos that need to chew,"gnaw" etc.My little grandsons have several different ones.Theres on that kinda looks like a paci but it a bit larger and textured.Reminds me of a raspberry on a green paci.God truly knew what he was doing with Izzy getting to be your daughter! It's interesting that for the protocol that an antibiotic is used to help the gut. I have read that usually being on antibiotics for too long can affect the gut so you need some probiotics to balance it back out. Is the antibiotic you use different somehow?

Actually rifaxamin isn’t absorbed by the body like most antibiotics. It is not absorbed into the blood nor the brain. It only is absorbed by the small intestine. So, it functions completely different than typical antibiotics. In fact, I believe there is talk of taking it out of the antibiotic label and labeling it as a ubiotic.

Some insurances do. There are other avanues to order it from elsewhere if that is the case. Dr. Nemechek encourages most families to not order it from the US because it is very expensive.

Yes, you are exactly right. Here in the states, Michaela is pronounced how you said it. But, in the Philippines it's pronounced Mika Ella which is why we changed the spelling to better reflect that. She was 4.5 years old when we brought her home, so we wanted to keep her name the same. Plus, we loved her name.

She does not chew on them. She clamps down on them. Nothing dangerous with her doing that to a pacifier. I am almost 100% certain she would not entertain any chew toys. We have a few here at the house and she has never liked them.

Uhm Autism cannot be "healed" and it should not, it's simply being different there is nothing wrong about being autistic (which having to "recover" implies)

The symptoms of autism absolutely can be healed and I DO WISH that they will be healed for my Isabelle. I do wish and pray that her blindness be healed. I do wish and pray that her body can function as the Lord intended it to do so. That does not mean I think any less of her or love her any less because I want her healed from her challenges that she faces. Yes, children with autism many times have a very unique way of thinking, problem solving, etc which is fabulous. I am not speaking of healing just because someone is "different', as you mentioned in your comment. That is not what I am speaking of. MANY children/adults with autism do suffer negatively from what it does to their body. This is not how God designed our bodies to function.
