You could be playing 10 Pokémon, the problem with PT is that you're always stuck playing a bad character. Each Pokémon def has good strength but the playstyle becomes too linear and they get outclassed by characters that have better punish games.

Ivysaur's dair used to be the size of the moon. Now that it can't spike recoveries from anywhere, I'm not surprised players are dropping the character

It’s crazy cus it’s still a massive dair. The thing is, Pyra’s dair is twice the size so why would anyone play any other character

Also Ivysaur got nerfed which is PTs strongest Pokémon arguably. Definitely stopped people like Tweek and Leffen from continuing to play the character in the earlier years, in my opinion.

Exactly. They gave this character a nasty nerf that ended any possibility of it being top tier. It's so sad because it is such a fun character.

You failed to mention Tweek almost 3-0 Leo with PT in grand finals! This character had a lot of potential but then they nerfed the hell out of it which is annoying af.

One of my favorite characters to play but one of the most difficult to get wins with nowadays. I find it easy to get into win streaks on elite or win locals with a lot of characters but when I'm playing PT i feel like I'm working so much harder when i could be getting ez dubs with Wolf, Roy, Palu, Pika, or Joker. Each individual Pokemon is just so scuffed and their game plans are linear. I believe the future of the character is a heavily switch based style and relying on ivy vine whip kill combos.

I never play dlc because I just think that there too op (banjo and plant are not) and that they just aren’t fun unlike the d-b tiers

Pretty sure Ivysaur is supposed to be a Steve killer, according to Ddee anyways. I have indeed watched Jake rage quit against ddees ivysaur so I believe him.
