ive watched alot of competitive gaming but the history/longevity/competitivity and innovativity melee has had over the decades just takes the cake for me. i wasnt there for the earlier days of isai/ken/pc chris but fell in love with the 5-gods first era because they each could outplay eachother on a given moment. the rivalry between them the reign of mew2king then mango then armada then hungrybox with PPMD(my all-time favorite) somewhere inbetween bringing in the godslayer Leffen while plup wizzrobe axe and many other i cant recall atm (shame) were in hot pursuit growing and continuing. PP and armada retiring Hbox dominating, THEKID returning then zain overtaking the red-yoosh of AMSA just exploding, Jmook just appearing out of nowhere in Zains dominance eventually cody being his rival to Aklo's LINK for godssake stunting Marth meanwhile some freaking DONKEY KONG taking heads left and right and to sum it all up? there is so much more melee to be played, i cant imagine how this is gonna go on but im all here for it!!!
