He could have been stretching or practicing a move for the tournament or for an upcoming fight and torn a tendon or broken a bone in a way that would cause some amount of nerve damage and boom it fits.

even thought it might not seems like it, hyperextending and rupturing muscles, especially the ankles, thights, shoulders and elbows is pretty frequent in the martial art world, thats why so many masters of traditional karate like hanshis and kyoshis, during pratices of both fighting and katas reduce the lenght of their positions and make them higher as well as lower their kicks etc, not to overwork the muscles before fighting/ praticing jiu jitsu. the problem comes not when hitting an opponent, but when not hitting one, missing him will often result in small but cumulatives injuries that come from hypertension, im only a 3rd dan black belt (1st in japan where theres only 3) and my right shoulder have marks from the few times my muscles gave out because of this.

Rocky had it rough. As a red ranger, he was always in Jason and Tommy's shadow, and as Zeo blue, he was in Tommy, Adam and Jason's shadow (it was even a plot point in one of his focus episodes that he felt like he was in Jason's shadow). Then in Turbo he was replaced by a little kid. I really hope the Boom comics give Rocky a chance to shine.

Rocky was not in Adam’s shadow until Adam came back in once a ranger and the fandom re-wrote history as if Adam was on the same level as Tommy and Jason.

When Rocky took over the red ranger role I think fans were disappointed because they were expecting him to be like Jason but Rocky didn't have very good leadership skills which is why I think he became a better character in Zeo .

Well to be fair, by that point Tommy had already taken over as leader so I'm not sure why people expected Rocky to be like Jason.

Tommy was the leader before Rocky even shown up. It had nothing to do with “lack of skill” since Rocky was Tommy’s second in command until he left.

Yet people give Rocky (who had a different personality from Jason) a hard time while simultaneously welcome Miles Morales (who IMO had pretty much the same personality as Peter Parker) with open arms and INSIST Miles should be in talked about in the same vein as Peter. Also, at least Jason, Trini and Zack never had to DIE to make way for Rocky, Aisha and Adam. I know I might get hate for this, but whenever people say "Just give Miles Morales and all the other Spider-Man Knock-offs a chance! People who say Adam should have been Red instead of Rocky clearly never watched Mmpr. Adam was shy, quiet, and unconfident. Hate Rocky or love him, but his personality was more outgoing and extroverted, which suits a red ranger better.

Rocky was cool, and I actually liked how they addressed his confidence in that machine empire episode. It's only natural to feel overwhelmed even in much lesser important situations, and in general he was a very likable and relatable character.

Never been a big fan of the "Team Jason vs Team Rocky" debate as it's a bit of an apples vs oranges scenario. Sure, they were both Red Rangers, but Rocky was never seen as a leader nor called to do so. Both are solid Rangers, but serve as different aspects of the team.

I never disliked Justin when he replaced Rocky. I had more issue with Rocky replaced Jason, but grew to love Rocky. I liked Justin because, as a kid, I was ecstatic to see another kid join the Rangers. It meant that I could be a Ranger at that age and played a huge role in my childhood playtime.

I like both Jason and Rocky for separate reasons. For Jason i look up to him. For his leadership qualities to the way he hold himself and the team together in the face of danger. At first i didn't like Rocky because i felt at the time they was making him like a lesser Jason clone at first. I started liking Rocky once he got the ape powers and became Zeo Blue. I feel he made those into his defining moments. When Rocky came back in Dimensions in Danger i feel he totally was his own character and was really awesome to.

I'm happy that the boom comics are slowly making rocky's character a little better by each issue. I loved the part where Jason reassured him that he is worthy of being a good red ranger that he chose the right person. I just hope that when Tommy's rivalry with Matt is finally set aside, this new green ranger would become Rocky's arc device to become a better ranger. I want the rivalry and partnership continue: Tommy against Jason/ back together again as partners Zack and Trini soon to be couples (a story that would set their relationship in the Pink ranger comic story) And finally, Matt allowing Rocky to wear the upgraded dragon shield

I definitely prefer Jason. That’s mostly just because I’m a Mighty Morphin fan above all, but of those three seasons, my favorite is the first. Nothing wrong with Rocky, he was a great ranger on his own, I just prefer the season before he entered.

They did with the Second Cast of Turbo Rangers after Tommy & other 1st batch of Rangers Passed the Torch to 2nd Generation of Turbo Rangers like Carlos,Cassie,Ashley they Made T.J.(2nd Turbo Red Ranger),Blue in Space Ranger so it’s certainly not the first time a Red Ranger has gone to Blue 💯.

Someone else who preferred Rocky in Red than in Blue? I thought I was the only one. As much as I Love Jason, and I really do, I think Rocky's the ranger I see myself in the most, and that's why I Love him so much. I wish he had been the Red Zeo Ranger. As for Tommy, maybe they could've made a PR Exclusive White Ranger Suit. Plus, I loved episodes like "Rocky Just Wants to Have Fun", "Wizard for a Day", "Fourth Down and Long" etc.

Rocky wasnt a bad ranger I feel like he came into his own once they received their ninja powers in that the pressure was kinda off for him to be Jason 2.0. I wish they would've developed his character a little more for the zeo series. I met him at a comic con a few years back he was super cool and had great conversation. I remember not really caring either way that he was the new red ranger. I was just excited that it was new rangers and I finally had some eye candy to see every week with Aisha.

I grew up remembering Jason as Leader but Rocky also wasn't a bad Leader to the core 5 Rangers on several occasions when Tommy was kidnapped or in trouble. Rocky held his ground by season 3 he was basically Leader he controlled the Ninja Megazord

Pretty much the first real Latin American representation on the Power Rangers now i think about it, that's pretty cool too. Always team Jason, but Rocky eventually got cooler with the Ninjetti era (ninjas make everything instantly cooler, right?) I think once Tommy became the lead, they wrote the character of Rocky very background-like and, many times, a little baffoonish. Even as the Red Ranger, I don't recall Rocky having a very commanding presence that was on par with Tommy, whereas Jason (before giving up the Red Ranger mantle), was able to maintain that dynamic despite their need to constantly throw Tommy in our faces with the Green & White Ranger sagas. I think Rocky was a victim of bad writing because they purposefully wanted more focus on Tommy. He (Jason David Frank) was just naturally flashier (that 90s hair), more charismatic, & could sell more toys for the brand.

Rocky is one of my favorite power rangers, I feel like he deserves more and respect. He was second in command in MMPR and Zeo. I think he did alright as the red ranger but I heard that a lot of people say that he’s better as the blue ranger. He even try to defeat King Mondo on his own which gives my respect to him and he never gives up and doesn’t want to be on anyone’s shadow.

Rocky was injured in Turbo: A Power Rangers movie, so never became a Turbo Ranger. What would've been Rocky's power went to Justin. I also think Rocky gets a bad rap because while becoming the second Red Ranger he was never intended to be the leader. That was Tommy's role. It sucks people hated on Rocky because they believed he was not living up to being the leader, when he wasn't I think he started to get a better wrap when Zeo came along because it was in Zeo it was made clear who the leader (Tommy) was and Rocky could just be Rocky. Personally Rocky is one of my favorite Rangers.

Actually Rocky uses the Ape stance in Dimensions in Danger. Also Master Vile used the orb to REVERSE TIME. Billy even refers to the coins as the power coins. Tommy in a narration states that the Ninjor and the ninja powers are back in the temple. This is an indication that these powers and coins are intact. Also Rocky’s og coin in a copy not the og coin as Jason leaves with that coin and still morphed after the power transfer.

I really couldnt see much with Rocky tbh despite how much i wanted to when he first came about. So i would be Team Jason as he was my favorite even over Tommy. Sure Tommy was exciting especially when he became the White Ranger in Season 2 but Jason had that part about him that reminded you of heroes like Goku from DBZ, Captain America, or Superman. This aspect of Jason oozed off him while Rocky didnt have that vibe. It made me think of Rocky has merely another ranger in the Power Ranger team. I meant no disrespect of course. Even if Jason wasn't replaced in Season 2 and Tommy still being the new leader, i still would have favored Jason in the end despite Tommy having his new White Ranger powers which was all the rave back when I was a kid when the White Ranger came out. Power Rangers just wasnt quite the same when Jason, Zack, and Trini left. The only exciting moments after that, i can truly recall, is when the Green Ranger returned taken over by Tommy's clone to fight Tommy and when Jason returned as the Gold Zeo Ranger in Season 5 (or Season 6 if you count the MM Alien Rangers as a season). After that, Power Rangers lost what it had goin for it for me which led to me moving on to other things as a kid. If given the opportunity to act in shows like Power Rangers Unworthy thats on KZbin, I would go for playing as Jason Lee Scott and try to carry the aspects that made Jason so favored in past seasons. In fact, i dressed as the Gold Zeo Ranger for Halloween in 1996 because of Jason was such a favorite character for me since Season 1 and often seen myself as the 3rd Gold Zeo Ranger if I had to give myself a power ranger power.

As a kid, I liked Jason more, but as I matured, I realized how much better of an actor Rocky was compared to season one and two Jason. Jason felt so forced in the early days, like he was overcompensating for something. Luckily, Jason smoothed out in Zeo, but by then I had grown to honestly love Rocky, and totally understood what he was going through after the return of Jason. I just wish we had more episodes of Rocky returning, as I find him more fun to watch than Jason. Though it's always epic to see a MMPR character come back, whoever it is and whatever suit they happen to be in.

honestly i think that Rocky and Adam should have traded range colors, it might have fit a bit better, and taken the pressure off of Rocky. also i think Justin would have been more well recieved, if , instead of replacing rocky, he was the kid brother of rocky's replacement, and was eventually in a 6th ranger type roll, Like Kou, from Diaranger. of course that would have drastically changed the Phantom ranger/Cassie's relationship, unless they went with the Blue Senturion as his ranger form

If Adam became red instead of Rocky, fans would have just shifted their hate from Rocky to Adam. It would have made no difference. And Adam’s personality didnt fit Red any more than Rocky’s did.

I thought the same thing, he could've been White or Gold, since both were around his age in Sentai. He was always going to stick out, and the 6th Ranger does that every season anyway.

Jason was my hero as a kid and seeing the bumbling numb skull rocky take the place of my hero ruined my little world at the time. As much as people hated Justin (Blake Forester) I liked the fact that a kid like me could step up and become a hero something I always wanted to do. And Justin was a great replacement for Rocky. As much crap as Turbo gets it is better then Operation Overdrive and Mega Force and Super Mega Force combined.

Considering the Sentai White Ranger (Diaranger White what we know as the white tiger ranger) was a child also who transformed into an adult to fit the suit. They didn't do Rocky Dirty. Rocky sucked as a ranger to begin with.

I dont remember ever being phased by new cast changes as a kid. I think i was more focused on the ranger and actiony parts than the alternate identity of whoever played the ranger. but if i did ever notice the change then it probably didnt hurt that the actor playing rocky was ridiculously handsome

For me I always liked Jason as the gold ranger he was way more powerful and had a way cooler zord Rocky is my favorite red ranger because he reminded me of myself more now as far as turbo goes there are 2 blue turbo rangers Justin unmorphed child Rocky as the morphed blue turbo ranger so the blue turbo ranger would match the height of the other rangers Justin never grows in size I was very happy to see Rocky back in super ninjasteel my gut feeling is the Morphin masters restored all the rangers powers and are using them as guardians to protect the Morphing grid along with the hidden powers they have scattered in every universe so I do think we will see more veteran rangers return to help the newer ranger heros in their hour of need not sure if all of the former villains will be returning I hope so

if power rangers wanted to do a original, they could have done it after overdrive, like adam returns with alpha meeting up with rocky to talk about their dojos and what he thought of the overdrive rangers, then justin comes up to meet up with them, now a teenager and joins up with them, a few min of talking past and the trio is teleported to somewhere, where they get told a evil creature is coming to take over the earth and the three become rangers again with new costumes and new zords, then later they could have 2 more previous rangers join them and ofc a new 6th ranger later in the season

Rocky was fine, glad he came back for a reunion episode. But I honestly hope it was the ape powers he used in that episode. Since we see Jason use the Tyrannosaurus coin (and the other MMPR rangers supposedly even though no other actors were present) in the beast Morphers team up. Would make sense because Tommy called on the Falcon Zord in the same episode Rocky was in. Head Cannon for me is that Tommy arranged all power coins to be restored with the help of Ninjor when Billy developed the master Morpher.

exactly Jason as MMPR. Rocky as Ninja Ranger. That's the way it should be. Most think of Jason when they see MMPR suit so it would be more respectable to give Rocky his unique red suit.

Exactly. In fact I initially didn't take too kindly to Tommy as the White Ranger because I was salty about 3 things: 1) I missed the Green Ranger. 2) He replaced Jason as the leader of the Team. 3) I guess the biggest one, Rocky got all the underserved blame for 2). However, as I got into the Necessary Evil arc in the Boom! Studios Comics, I began warming up to his time as the White Ranger, to the point where I go back to MMPR Seasons 2 and 3 and appreciate the White Ranger more and now I can say I like Tommy as the White Ranger just as much as I do him as the Green Ranger and the Dino Thunder Black Ranger.

Rocky grew up on the fandom since he became Zeo III, I think that's his real starter to develop the character. But as a red ranger... well... he was more like a placeholder. Also, I can't picture him as a Turbo ranger either.

Um, Rocky never had the chanceto become a Turbo Ranger. He was injured in the first minutes of the Turbo movie (and he was still a Zeo Ranger at the time) before the brat took over.
