He was born in the cold, raised in subsidized housing, caught a case in his teens and was even denied business opportunities because of his race. But, none of that was going to keep Darrin Kenneth O’Brien, later known to the world as Snow, from achieving his dreams in the music industry.

An Irish dude pumping out solid, BOMB dancehall tracks like 'Anything For You.' Trips me out. I still refer to that heavily on my play list to this day. When I think of it, an Irishman inspired by Jamaican influences is not as outlandish as it may seem. Ireland has a history with Jamaica dating back centuries. Jamaican, here, and part Irish myself. Even the patois dialect native to the island has been influenced by Irish immigrants who help honed it from they first landed on Jamaica. Small world.

Snow is a Rap/Reggae legend. Informer was and still is the jam. Reggae style lyricism with Hip-hop and Rock beats that paved the way like fellow Canadians like Jim Carrey from In Living Color and comic and former Rap Artist Tom Green who formed Organized Rhyme. In the 90's where Rap was more culture like, it paved a lot of more Caucasian Rappers that love Rap music and the movement. Like for example, Beastie Boyz, 3rd Bass, YBT, Kid Rock, House of Pain, Everlast, Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Insane Clown Posse ICP, Twiztid, Tairrie B, Necro, Marky Mark, and Snow etc. Also Vanilla Ice. Alot of White Rappers had soul within their heart, and as an African American male in my mid-30's at age 36, I love the Hip-hop nation and movement for being fruitful and it's not just about color, it's the soul and the lyrical wisdom with a lot of fire and heart. Hip-hop brought nations and cultures together Worldwide, either if you are a Underground Cat or Mainstream media, it is about love and unity, not about race or ethnicity nor color, it is about being a better person living a healthy and extraordinary life with a positive attitude. Snow is a legend, not only in Reggae and Rap, he played a police officer in the Hip-hop musical Prison Song and also was in the music video cameo appearance in Mr. Dobilina, I knew that was him in the music video. The Dobilina is a tongue twister just like people who have a hard time spelling Worcestershire sauce. I'm just sayin'.
