@@yttrxstein4192 LOL I've been waiting to hear back from you and see what you would say. I already knew the narration was a synthesized voice. I don't believe the channel owner, who has pinned and highlighted our conversation, is a bot. Who would name their channel after the synthesized narrator? I've not known anyone else to do that. I'm very interested in your claim and would very much enjoy hearing your explanation. :o)

@@yttrxstein4192 Goodness sakes! I believe you. Thank you for telling me. So is every channel that uses bot narration one of these entities? I wonder if the narrator who mispronounces words and proper nouns is a bot. His name is never provided. He has a sing-song way of speaking (doesn't sound like a bot) that is very annoying. Well, are these YT channels scams?

My mom took me on Halloween to go see Lurch in San Antonio Tx at a mall called Wonderland. They had a tent designed to look like a haunted house and the line was long and I could hardly wait to be the next one. Kids were running around and everyone was having a great time. I was excited to see Lurch till I saw him in person! Just looking at him scared me out of my mind. He tried to shake my hand but I disappeared into my mom dress, then he moan and shook his head and that scared me even more! And Then he stood up! That was it, He was so tall and looking down at me moaning and shaking his head! I took off like a shot! I was gone! I don't even remember how I got out! My mom was laughing so hard and I'm sure Mr Cassidy had a good time , he sure pulled all the stops with me. He's forever in my heart and great memories. I'm 62 now and my mom still laughs about it!

Ted Cassidy was, without a doubt, an exceptional and talented giant! he was in Hawaii in 1977-78 filming the Donny and Marie Osmond movie, "GOIN' COCONUTS"- but, despite numerous movie and TV appearances, it was his voice which was his greatest asset! his role as "Injun' Joe" on NBC's "THE NEW ADVENTURES OF HUCK FINN" in Fall 1968 was unique- playing the character in both live action and animated, through the master animators of Hanna-Barbera Productions where he found lots of voiceovers-including "Frankenstein Jr" for CBS's 1966 Saturday Morning cartoon series ("FRANKENSTIEN JR AND THE IMPOSSIBLES") but he also played the voice of Interspy operative "Richard Vance", alias the "Spy Shadow" on NBC's Saturday Morning cartoon series, "SUPER PRESIDENT" for DePatie-Freleng/Mirisch Rich Television through United Artists in Fall 1967. but Ted Cassidy's work on NBC's "STAR TREK" that also helped him to shed the "Lurch" typecast, playing the voice of "Balock" in "The Corbomite Manuver", and as the Android "Ruk" from "What Are Little Girls Made Of?", and the slithering voice of "The Gorn" Captain from "Arena". Cassidy's earlier credits was as a Martian from American International's "THE ANGRY RED PLANET" (1959) where he was the uncredited voice of The Martian in a recorded message warning Earth never to visit Mars. before his death in 1979, Ted Cassidy even auditioned for the role of Star Lord "Dragos" for Filmation Associates' "JASON OF STAR COMMAND", but that role went to Sid Haig- but Ted Cassidy did two voice overs for Filimtion, and later voiced "Thunn, The Lion Man" on Filiation's highly Impressive "FLASH GORDON" animated TV pilot-likely his last role, prior to working on "THE INCREDIBLE HULK". an unforgettable actor who is still greatly missed, he was also interviewed by Joel Eisner in 1978, and in that rare interview, he mentioned how he hated being confused for Richard Kiel (Jaws) can't say that I blame him for that!

@@Dakers11 Yes, he voiced The Zandorian warrior "Phobec" in two episodes of "TARZAN, LORD OF THE JUNGLE", and also played the voice of "Chronos" in an episode of NBC's "THE SPACE SENTINELS" in 1977. Cassidy also voiced "Ben Grimm/The Thing in DePatie-Freleng's version of "THE FANTASTIC FOUR" in 1978, but in the Hanna-Barbera version that was produced in 1967 for ABC, Cassidy was the voice of "Galactus", and, by an interesting coincidence, Gerald Mohr, the voice of "Mr. Fantastic", was also the star of American International's "THE ANGRY RED PLANET" (1959) that Ib Melchoir directed, and Moe Howard's nephew Norman Maurer was also the co-producer of this low budget thriller that also used Ted Cassidy's voice as The Martian!

For those of us in our mid-60's or older, there was a show Called "Dobie Gillis". Dobie had a cohort named Maynard G Krebs, a useless beatnik, played by Bob Denver. This was before his "Gilligan" days. His trademark reply, when called by someone, was "You Rang?" It was one of the show's hooks, and really funny. I'm sure Lurch borrowed that line from Bob Denver.

I was a teenager when Addams Family aired, 1964-66. It was clever and harmless, though often silly, and it remains my favorite tv series. They were anti-conventional people who thought they were the normal ones. A pity it was abruptly canceled after only 2 seasons, because the quality remained high. They hadn't run out of creativity. The humor was satirical and not put-down and crude or profane like what has followed. Lurch had 6 or more leads in the show, that I can think of. I think I have read that Cassidy felt he should have had more prominence, that he was capable of it. Those were innocent days, by today's standards.

As a kid I was fascinated by Lurch and recognized him in several other rolls you mentioned. I'm sorry to learn he died so young. He must have spent a lot of time sitting in chairs getting made up for his rolls. Thank you for this video. I just viewed your video on Tim Conway and will comment on that separately but I have to say I much prefer your own voice. You must have a passion for this to spend the time gathering the stills and video as well as doing the research and writing the script. It's your effort, it should be your voice. Just my opinion.

It's sad but unusually tall people very often die of heart and circulatory problems. The heart just can't beat hard enough to get blood to the brain consistently in older age. Ted was an awesome actor. How tall was he exactly? Nearly 7 feet I think.

My son was bullied in grade school because he was tall. He was getting pushed around by smaller but older guys. I finally made him take up for himself during halftime at a school basketball game. He grabbed the bully who was pushing him around, picked him up, and threw him to the ground. He then picked him back up and asked him if he wanted it again. The bully left crying but after that my son wasn't bothered again.
