Unfortunately, I think this was doomed to fail. Fox didn't care enough about The Fantastic Four, they just wanted to keep it away from Marvel. Josh Trank wasn't a fan of the comics, that's a bad combination. There was also a rumor that Fox mandated that Doom be the main villain, so whoever made the movie could only make it somewhat different from the 2005 movie. Trank seemed to be more interested in Mole Man, which was apparently the only F4 character he got.

Honestly, looking back at it now and depending on how superhero movies are today this film was way ahead of its time because we see what Matt reeves did with Batman. I feel as though if this film were to be given a chance, it would’ve been the perfect counter to the bright and colorful MCU

I’m not sure about that because wasn’t the darker tone meant to jump on the Nolan Batman train with the darker tone and more realistic so was it ahead of it’s time or just going along with the trend at the time

46:57 yeah because I think it not only effected this movie but also Amazing Spider-Man 2 and speaking of the body horror aspects I think that they should have used a different villain for this movie instead of Dr Doom like the Red ghost and the super apes or the original script Annihilus and the Moleman

idk why the algorithm is giving me an hour long comic movie deep dive with 400 views but a dirty slut for long form content about stuff i dont care about. about 15 min in atm. maybe slow down a bit? the script is nice and tight. good flow. good work. keep it up

Really good vid, I enjoyed it very much. I take exception to being called a racist troll. I just didn't think that there was a really good reason to make Johnny Storm black. Nothing against Michael B. Jordan, he's a terrific actor. But to change a well loved character to a different race for no reason....it makes you wonder who the real racists are...

I think most people had the same sentiment concerning the Storm family. It made it an issue that didn't need to be there, many such cases in modern times sadly.
