Thank you for making this video of Quinton Flowers, who is also my all-time favorite college football player. I wish an NFL team could have built their team around him being QB as well.
@8MoneyIzmyMission83 жыл бұрын
He was so fun to watch. His agility was like that of an elite athlete. He looked like a RB when he ran and he could actually throw the ball decent enough. If he went to a big school with talent and started at QB, he'd have been a legit heaiman QB.

Watching him play every week live was special. He is the program GOAT. I loved the Matt Grothe era but you can’t compare them. Flowers played like he was a videogame. Marlon Mack was just as important. After Taggert left, and Strong came all fans knew we’d fall apart in a few years. Still can’t believe the started off 1-5 (I think that was the record) and then lost all the games after :/. I really think he will play in the CFL, and be a star. He’s perfect for that style. He’d be there now if they had a season. Montreal has his rights, and he could make a name there. I just want to see him play again :/ He truly beat the odds, and didn’t become a statistic.

Never heard of him, but since he holds rushing records as a QB, that is not surprising. Glad he was able to beat the odds, in his personal life.

Flowers was a very good QB but I remember USF had a QB named Matt Grothe back around 2005-2009, Grothe was a better QB overall than Flowers but both were very good and helped USF to some very good seasons.
@ScottFisherCFB4 жыл бұрын
Grothe was the only one who was a better passer but it wasnt by a whole lot statistically. The fact Quinton could run and throw makes me think he is better, but everyone has their own opinion which i 100% respect and you can argue that Grothe was!
@izparry26464 жыл бұрын
Daniel Minton- yes! Glad someone else remembered Matt. He lead the bulls to reach a #2 national ranking before their loss to Rutgers. Grothe could run and pass. And he lead USF to the most success in their history
@danielminton90564 жыл бұрын
@@izparry2646 Grothe was a very fun player to watch kinda like Johnny Manziel before Johnny football that team also had a sack machine in George Selvie he was also a great player. That year the BIGEast was stacked with talented team, with Pat White, Steve Slaton and West Virginia/ Ray Rice, Leonard, Kenny Britt and Rutgers/ Brian Broham and Louisville and the USF Bulls. They're was some good teams in that conference then and that was after losing Miami and Virginia Tech to the ACC.

Look at Lamar Jackson. The NFL adjusted and he is doing nothing now. You cannot look to run first and he did. Steve Young should be the model for running quarterbacks. They have to learn how to stay in the pocket. It took young a long time to learn this.
