When I was 11 or 12, I read an article in Readers Digest about an island with a buried treasure...Oak Island & it's potential lost treasure have fascinated me since then and I watch every episode with great delight and hope. Hats off to the Lagina brothers, their team & all of the families & friends who help them in any & every way. I watched till the end - and will continue to do so until they find whatever is down there!! #GodBless

My auntie gave me a book on pirates for my birthday when I was about 10 and it included the Money Pit story. I thought then that someone needed to dig it up (in my imagination digging a giant crater about a mile wide). Now I would like to know more about the technology in creating the sluices and traps. As someone said in the comments, there was probably a wet or even dry dock near the swamp. Multiple uses possibly mean a long standing base or simply multiple uses over the ages. Finding the treasure (high value articles) probably won't tell us much unless there are documents we can read. I'm in it for the higher value treasure (the story). My only downside is the stupid narrating hype of every find. It's rather irritating and childish.

The location of the road remains, the jetty remains, and the swamp leads me to think it was a dry dock or shallow water ship maintenance area. That doesn’t rule out treasure or historical artifacts in any way. But flood tunnels and man made water channels with piers indicate shipping and mooring facilities. It’s a pretty interesting show nonetheless.

I have to be honest, I'm more team Rick. The things they have been uncovering make me want to know the truth about what the island was used for and the engineering involved in creating the water traps. The dating on the wood they've pulled up in so many places has a story to tell. If it's based on treasure? Sure, whatever. I get more out of it watching them interact with the people that provide professional services to them because the science of it all is interesting, especially the newer techniques they've used to dig down deep, and identify possible places where either treasure or historical artifacts may be. I can't see how the History Channel doesn't benefit from all the archeological finds the further they dig down and I'd really like to find out more about why the marsh was created as opposed to keeping a deep channel port. The story of Samuel Ball deserves some forensic discovery; if he did run two docks wouldn't there be some type of official ledgers? They should be able to find where the man got his money to discern whether it was true that he did find treasure and that's how he built his fortune. Regardless of how the treasure story pans out, there is history to be celebrated here. =)

The discovery of the various structures already are really fascinating. The historical finds in syructures and artifacts in the show are very interesting, would love to know the true stories of the structures they have dug up. There's some of their biases, wanting to find a treasure, and production for the show wanting to hype things as reality shows usually do. It can feel like a mix of documentary and reality show. My dad and I joke around with the "... could it be...?!" line often spoken by the narrator when he then goes through various interpretations and legends to things, when, the object could just be any ordinarily owned thing by someone on the island in the past. I imagine that if any sorta Templar legend were true, the subterranean structures would have been emptied out long ago when the island drew more attention. I'm mostly interested in the history surrounding early sea travel to the Americas and what the structures in the bay and under ground on the island are all for and how much of it is original structures and how many are searcher structures.

I want to know what the purpose of the blue hole looking feature near the "flood boxes" . I have wondered if they were to block that "blue hole" would the flooding tunnels be stopped? A hidden treasure is no good if you cant get to it later. A place right at the surface that you could dump rice or corn to form a bio plug that cuts out the water so it could be removed. Then it would degrade and disappear. That blue hole is not a natural feature. It's a kill switch
