I have too many projects! I'm so lucky!
Today let's run through my fleet of 4x4s and talk about what my plans are for 2023. The Low Buck Diesel Truck and my Jeep TJ have been on the back burner and I want to explain why. After all, many of you are asking about these trucks every single day!
This KZbin life is a weird one and I'm still trying to get the hang of it. As the channel grows so do the opportunities. I mean who hasn't wanted to do a cheap truck challenge of some kind? How can I say no? In any case, I'm also getting some help lined up for 2023 to make these projects happen at a faster pace. With any luck, I'm hoping to make more content and tackle more projects! Lots of cool stuff ahead!
By the way, this will be a temporary video, I just wanted to give a bunch of you a much-needed update about all the stuff we have planned. Enjoy!

@@calebberglund53 I agree but if you’re having to give more than one person a ride in a manual that’s J10 size, don’t you think something bigger would be a better option? Ultimately it’s Nate’s call, but I think a 70’s international body would be a better choice.

The J10 is what brought me to the channel, all the cool content and fab work is why I've stayed. I know this probably won't be a popular opinion, but I would love to see it finished as originally intended, as it sits it's something that I could build myself which is always cool to see, and I was really interested in seeing how the Mercedes diesel worked out for power and drivability. If I had to choose between the options you gave, the J10 would make a pretty cook tow truck too.

I like the tow truck idea especially in your area the trophy truck would be better technical build but harder to use in local area causing once built have to travel to use. Tow truck is smaller build but more continuous content as not having to travel to use to its potential and gives back to local wheelers that went to deep and got stuck. No matter which way gets built will be awesome content to watch!!!

I think you’re gonna miss out on the off road wrecker craze going on. As much as I love the idea of it being a wrecker, or being anything (it’s a cool truck), you should probably just get it working and sell it. Or another option is to try to raffle it off (merch sales). Idk.

My advice is to go all in and commit to the TJ truck build. That’s a massive project and it would be cool to get it going. I think you should just get the low-buck-truck running and pass it along to an off-roader who will appreciate it for what it is. Getting projects done will help build subscribers and grow your channel which is important too. Merry Christmas! Excited to see your builds next year.

"I think you should just get the low-but-truck running and pass it along to an off-roader who will appreciate it for what it is." It would be to cool to see it being finished and just driven by someone who has less trucks or no trucks at all. Yes it is a shame that you wouldn't finish it, but you grew and changed since this build started, and that just how life is.

Tow/Recovery truck is what appeals to me the most for the J10. Perhaps something lighter and more nimble than some of the others out there. It would give you a chance to showcase the off-roading community in your region by helping/meeting others and observing the kind of difficulties they run into in a climate and landscape that differs greatly from the arid southwest region the other tow/recovery rigs are in.

The AEV TJ Brute Jeep Pickup kit starts at around $9,000. Something to look into. Low Buck Diesel can become the ultimate off-road overland recovery truck. Onboard air system, welder, and parts so that you can do off-road repairs on the trail. There is always someone that breaks something on the trail and you can be the hero they need to get back home. Style it like the old M725 Ambulances.

Merry Christmas and fun video, looking forward to the builds in 2023! Regarding the LBDT, been following that one since day one and enjoyed the concept, however, turning that into something you do do the Baja race or Reno to Vages would be really cool since you definitely don’t see retro trucks like this one run those all that often! Plus in my opinion, with everyone else doing the tow truck thing, especially if you get you TJ8 truck built, the racer would be more unique. Thanks for always putting out great content.

The Jeep J10 needs to just be wrapped up as the low budget diesel truck like it started. Like a daily beater/ parts getter. J10s we’re never meant to be trail rig rock crawlers. They were meant to throw your toolbox in the bed, go fishin’, haul some hay bales, lean on the bedsides and shoot the breeze with friends, And be the truck that comes home at the end of the day with no issues. I’d suggest looking at the starter gear clearance. That definitely needs fixed. I know it can be frustrating. Many of us want to see it move on its own power, with you paving the way and feasibility of inspiring us to be able to do a low dollar swap of our own.
