As a fan of ST:VOY, that scene in Picard S3 at the Fleet Museum where Seven talks about Voyager was awesome, especially as it's presumably the first time she's seen the ship in a long time. It had just enough nostalgia to tickle the fan in me, but actually told viewers a bit more about the characters of Jack and Seven. It was small and subtle but for me was quite inciteful. In Voyager itself, Seven was often the equivalent of the rebellious teen, so to hear her talk about how it was where she was reborn and that she still considered it her home was just brilliant because for all the difficulties she had there, it still represented something very special, and was superbly acted by Jeri Ryan.

The department for temporal affairs must have had a collective aneurism when they were debriefing the crew, I reckon the crew broke every existing law and were the reason for a whole litany of new temporal laws.

I'm surprised that it only took Starfleet 20 years to pick apart, fully understand, and start utilising all the technology aboard the Voyager before turning it into a museum. The ship had a ridiculous amount of completely unknown technology and data, including stuff from redundant timeliness and fluidic dimensions.

i recognised that bridge instantly. so glad to see Voyager again. that ship went thru years of hell with together with Janeway and Crew.

If I was put in charge of the fleet museum I'd have every ship in its own fully enclosed section, and have all the sections connected together so you would eventually have a planetoid sized museum, heavily armed so it could defend the solar system and protect its contents. There would be a bunch of holodecks for each exhibit that replayed a persistent reconstruction of the ships' entire journey in real time so you could experience their history in its entirety, and have special celebrations when the simulations reach a particularly important event.

I’d like a voyager movie set 30 years into their journey home in an alternate timeline. Maybe they find the borg have overrun the alpha quadrant. I mean I’m a little tired of the borg but seeing all of the federation assimilated would be fun..

I’m pretty sure the Enterprise-D went further out than Voyager in the episode “where no one has gone before” or maybe even when Q flung them in front of the borg cube in “Q who”; or possibly when Uber smart Barkley took them to cytherian space. I question Sevens statement Voyager went further out than any other starship. That’s also not taking into account the Bajoran worm hole that leads to the Gamma quadrant which is further than the Delta quadrant if you go from earth through the alpha, beta, and delta quadrants to get there.

I believe she meant that Voyager made a big impact on the Delta Quadrant itself and became famous for its journey. That being said if we're gonna be nitpicky yeah technically The D made it out to the Triangulum galaxy in "Where no man has gone before" but it didnt stay there long. J25 where they first encountered the Borg was 2 years away at maximum warp and the Cytherian homeworld was near the center of the Galaxy about 30'000 light years away. Also remember that the Enterprise-D wasnt on display yet so she wasnt including it in her assesment. As for the wormhole and the gamma quadrant according to MA the Idran terminus of the wormhole is 70'000 light years away while the caretakers array was 75'000 light years away so still further out.

@@Razorgeist I believe that's what Seven meant also. Other Federation ships have travelled further, and a fair few have gone through the Bajoran wormhole, but for a few months at most. Voyager spent seven years in the Delta Quadrant.

The novels are so much better. Fully decommissioning a 7yr old ship seems a little silly...and wasteful considering the Dominion war had just ended and lots of ships were lost.

The USS Enterprise B prototype was secretly rechristened to the USS Lakota after its entire crew was lost to a virus, and the ship was recovered. This brought shame to Starfleet as its flagship was not defeated in valiant combat... but a virus. Its also why the USS Lakota is the only 'other' Excelsior type vessel to have such.. unique.. augmentations to its hull.
