If the goal is cost cutting, I can think of one good example. We have trash and recyclables picked up every week. I'm always amazed at how many people put their recycling bin, ours is 20 percent larger than the trash bin. How many people put their recyclables out and there is hardly anything in the bin. I guess their attitude is that they are paying for a weekly service, I'm going to make sure the bin is emptied every week. A community of 30,000 homes and the labor adds up quickly.

Fluoride is not that important. Until you have the ability to consume natural ground water then what you say doesn’t really matter. I have been exposed to both parties and I can confirm that the benefits of fluoride are minuscule and pointless. As long as you have proper dental hygiene then you have no reason for there to be extra additives to your intake of water. Majority of the treated water is spent not in your mouth, but rather in your intestinal tract, absorbing the chemicals.

@@amber_love5false. I live with a ground well, and I have spoken to other RNs (Registered Nurse) about fluoride. Fluoride has minuscule benefits that can be removed by simple dental hygiene. I have experienced no problems with my hygiene and I have not had a single cavity for the three years I have been fluoride free.

How about people who want fluoride can use a system in their house to automatically add it in the main line? Or someone can use a reverse osmosis system to remove it?

Fluoride doesn’t help you that much. I’ve been living off of a natural well for about 3 years and have experienced no further problems with my dental hygiene. This is coming from the fact that I have lived in a city where the water had been treated with fluoride for the majority of my life until I decided to move.

.7 mg per litre... i may drink 2+ litres a day. I also brush my teeth with fluoride toothepaste. Every food that contains water probably has fluoride in it. I also bathe in it, go to the swimming pool in it, what else... how much fluoride is that per day?
@leonardodalongisland54 минут бұрын
A; If you drink three liters per day, you consume 2.1 grams of fluoride. One ounce equals 28. 34 grams. Ergo, you're drinking (not counting "water food") less than one ounce (.78) of fluoride-per day. B: The amount of fluoride absorbed through the skin from shower/swimming pool water is negligible.

Not sure how drinking fluoride in our water helps protect our teeth from cavities. Isn't the point of fluoride toothpaste to get the fluoride ON our teeth? We don't drink toothpaste, we spit it out! And if you'll notice there's a warning on the tube that says if toothpaste is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away!

@country_mferСағат бұрын
When did anyone in this entire video call that proof? It's one piece of evidence against the narrative that any amount of fluoride in drinking water is bad. That isn't proof, and no one called it proof. The proof is all the scientific studies that show that a small amount of fluoride in drinking water does more good than harm. But most people are unable to engage or accept that cause they saw a meme on Facebook that said fluoride in water bad
@TrishTruitt3 минут бұрын
RFK may be a bit kooky, but he's right about Fluoride. Harvard studies have clearly shown that is causes declines in IQ scores and has other marks of being a neurotoxin. It also competes with an important mineral we need and are often deficient in - iodine, which is vital for many functions from thyroid to immune health. People can still buy fluoridated water, toothpaste and get topical dental treatments. Conversely it's very hard and get it OUT of the water requiring an expensive RO (Reverse Osmosis) filtration system, to eliminate it. So, the public at large should not be forced to drink it against their wishes.

@yvonneplant94345 сағат бұрын
None of them know any science. That's the problem with their points of view.
@RoundingThird5 сағат бұрын
Do you know the history of before and after fluoride? The use of fluoride began when dentists discovered that communities with naturally high levels of fluoride in their water supply had significantly fewer cavities, despite the presence of visible brown stains on their teeth; this led to the first large-scale community water fluoridation trial in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1945, where researchers found a dramatic decrease in tooth decay among children drinking fluoridated water, establishing fluoride as a preventative measure against cavities and paving the way for widespread adoption of water fluoridation. The opposite will prove true in every town that stops using it. Nobody is triggered by conservatives. Conservatives don't exist anymore. It's all Trump worship or be expelled from your party now. People running with the latest internet trends trigger people.
