Sting has found the perfect balance for the 'legend' wrestler - keeping himself relevant, while recognizing that it's not his spotlight anymore, and fueling those that follow. Allin has perfected the staredown, the calm intensity. Does he need Sting? No. But is he benefited by him? Yes. Punk... remains to be seen completely, as he's still in the honeymoon adulation period after his return, and hasn't really adopted a gimmick yet, but hopes are high, and the talent is definitely still there.

It’s a small detail, but I appreciate how Punk actually stayed down and took a beating from 2.0. In any other promotion with any wrestler with an ego, they would’ve had their “hulk up” moment and started whooping in a 3-1 assault, but not Punk. First time I ever saw Darby in AEW, didn’t know who he was, he became my favorite wrestler. He just has that presence, that IT factor, then I saw him wrestle. The way he puts his heart and soul into a match is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Punk’s first match back could only be Darby!

I have a feeling that sooner or later CM Punk will work with MJF, even though he hasn't mentioned him yet (for obvious reasons). Imagine the promos, the shoot-like promos they would have.
