My Sister in law accidently crossed the border with a Hunting rifle in the trunk...she forgot it was there. Firearms are illegal in mexico so she got arrested at the border and sent to a prison in NAYARIT....right when she got to the prison....The real Reyna del Sur Sandra Avila Beltran heard my sister in laws story and took her under her wing in prison. Orders were to not mess with or bother my sister in law while she was there. She was eventually released Thru alot of bribery with lawyers and politicians.

I have been following the story and also saw the film Ingobernable in which she stars...she is a very brave and genuine woman and at this point most will believe in her rather than in any "government" statement and allegations. Not only in Mexico but this is replicated everywhere in most countries in the world. Politicians are not a nice breed and are often similar to those they accuse of being criminals. Their personas - often corrupt and in collusion with organized crime - is something they have to save, for otherwise there would realize they are nothing. If anyone doubts that: they cannot read!
